Building 7 & the lie

My students of communication theory are forced to debate the following proposition and to cite legitimate and specific evidence that could support this claim. Wondering what folks think about the following. Cheers.

Proposition: American corporate news media are in collusion with whatever domestic or foreign entities destroyed the twin towers in New York City.

Backing: American corporate news media refuse to investigate the sudden and impossible collapse of World Trade Center #7; attempt to pacify calls for public inquiries; castigate, marginalize or mollify anyone who questions the government’s “official report”.

Having read the various "conspiracy theory" out there, I had the same question. It seemed to me that it would have been a juicy story at the very least.

Yet any public comment out there addresses it from Government-appearing or pro-right types, and not the media.

However, in light of the possible proponets listed in the conspiracy theory, (US Government) the press has been a bit less than "friendly."

I would have to conclude then that there is no collusion between the press and the entities who destroyed Tower 7- Now I only need to find out how a building can collapse so....perfectly.

No reasonable "offical" explanation exists for the sudden implosion of this massive structure, especially since it was farther away from both towers than other buildings that survived the massive debris fallout.

Everyone who has ever come forward in the pubic arena on CNN or Fox or Larry King or whatever corporate media outlet to question the so-called official account of events has been villified or marginalised.

I have not witnessed the public villification by the major networks- but then I have never been a news junkie and have a problem with subjecting myself to the entertainment they provide Joe Blow.

I do know that far less credible stories (I've seen the websites you posted) are aired with regularity which again, is the fly in the ointment.

I wont pretend to understand the science in evaluating heat, compression, and building engineering. As a layman, the information provided by the experts is compelling. This obviously begs your question as to "who is in collusion." Sorry. That is as far as I can go....not unlike trying to unravel the Kennedy assassination.

What I meant was that any scholar, whether physcist, structural engineer, political scientist, historian, etc., who is invited on any talk show such as Larry King or Bill O'Reilley or whomever, to publicly question the government's version of what happened will nearly immediately be lambasted or lampooned.

I've been following the politics of 911, and the mass media talking heads react to any dissenting voices in the most Orwellian ways. Bill O and some of his chronies at Fox, for example, resorts as he often does to simply telling his guests to just shut up.

I understood your comments- mine were that I didn't see any of the broadcasts you mention, and to be quite honest, don't have the time to devote my attention to the talking heads. O'Reilly for instance would never countenance an interview with anti-Gov. speak and that is precisely the way the conspiracy theories play out.

To put a finer point on it, when any of the theories are brought up on public forums such as this one, someone inevitably pipes in that anyone who suscribes to any theory like this is not patriotic, and worse.

Thus, it is apparent that debate over justification towards a war we had to be lied to about is acceptable, the WTC (and building 7) is hallowed ground. Not necessarily just with the media.

Anti-Gov speakers have actually turned up on his Spin Zone periodically, to create an air of fairness and balance I imagine, but have been berated in the most extreme and irrational ways.

Entertainers like O'Reilly and King who wear the masks of professional journalists represent a real danger to the American republic.

They never ask hard questions, or if they do never contemplate the answers, but only foist upon the general public their own myopic political ideologies.

So long as everyone is able to buy that new SUV or enjoy that annual Disney holiday, no pundit wants to ask the necessary questions about why or how this building apparently self-destructed.

Anti-Gov speakers have actually turned up on his Spin Zone periodically, to create an air of fairness and balance I imagine, but have been berated in the most extreme and irrational ways.

It is laughable that the name of the show is No Spin Zone.

Then again, watching Wolf hard at work in the Situation Room complete with repeated clips of a burning tanker in Iraq six weeks ago also has it's entertainment value.

At some point, one of the claims was that burning X,Y and Z did get hot enough to perfectly melt support structures so as to simultaniously colapse a building in perfect column.

It makes no sense!
I don't know if there has been some specific threat or collusion over the matter.
It is quite obvious that scientifically it doesn't make sense and I have only seen non-mainstream questioning of the subject, so I would lean to say they is likely some sort of avoidance/cover-up/collusion of the subject.

Perhaps there was a professional brainwasher at a press conference that gave them the explanation and finalized the subject???? Obvious there is a stinky rat somewhere.

As part of a short reseach project, I ask my students of rhetoric to have a look at this video 911 Mysteries Demolitions recut
to try and determine whether deception is at work on one side of the public debate or the other side.

That is, who exactly appears to creating a mythology surrounding the events of 9/11?

This is off topic but what is the name of the song that plays around the 20 minute mark once they are talking about the pieces of steel in neighboring buildings. I really like that song and I never could find out the name of it.

I watched about 15 minutes worth earlier today. That is where I heard the term demolition hobbyist. I will see if I can sit and watch the rest later, but it will likely be tomorrow.
