It's not at all surprising that a Japanese taxi driver's actions behind the wheel have engendered assault and battery. It seems these drivers tend to consider only where their next potential fare is coming from, and so hunt like birds of prey for any opportunity to out-manoeuver others on the road.

Were these folks paid a more respectable and decent wage, you'd likely see more civil behaviour among this segment of the commuting public. Even bus drivers tend to be more mannerly. Still, there is no reasonable explanation for the assault.
