I'm looking for information on these schools for our blog: www.okinawahai.com. We're trying to collect information about schools so that it's easier to find the perfect place for our kiddos.

I would suggest Zion Christian Academy (http://www.jwhitakerministries.org/)or New Life Academy (http://www.newlifeacademy.com/)over either of those schools.

What does JIA stand for?

My son went to a place called JIAI yochien. But it was a Japanese Montessori yochien.

JIAI Yochien is in Ginowan, near the Convention centre. It is Japanese, but if that is okay, I highly recommend it, my son went there for 2 years.
No english.

It was in Kanji. I don't remember what the JI stood for, the AI means love.

We enrolled my daughter in JIAI Yochien and we LOVE IT!!! She has learned Japanese very quickly and was welcomed by the other children. I recommend this school!!! It has been a very rewarding experience for our child and family!

My family and I are moving to Okinawa in less then 2 weeks and want to put our daughter in a good school out side of the base. My daughter is 5 and only speaks English. Can you tell us which schools have a good reputation, closest to camp Kinser & the approximate cost? Thank you so much. :)
