I will like to bring my gas grill with me to Okinawa. Is there a place on base to exchange empty tank for a full tank?

Any on base service station.

Note: There is like a $20 deposit on the tanks (if you don't have your own). When you pcs or get rid of the grill, you can turn the tank back in and get your $20 back. You can also do this with your own tank that you buy from AAFES...as there is always a shortage of tanks. When you see someone offering free tanks in JU, then snatch it up and turn it in for the $20...DocP does it all the time.

If you have an empty tank, it's a $13 swap for a full one...

I believe the deposit and price went up last summer..I may be wrong though. Thought it was over 15 now.

I got one filled the week of Thanksgiving and I think I still paid $13, but I could be wrong...

I am happy to hear there is a place in Okinawa to swap tanks. I don't mind paying over $15. It cost $25 to swap tanks here in Southern Maryland. Thanks for the info.

Still $20 to buy a new tank, and $13 to swap, just got one day before yesterday!

Last time I checked, there were no tanks available on Kadena... does anyone know where there are some in stock?

You talking about refilled ones? Courtney had some last week, check Foster and Kinser too.
