Anyone have any experience with moving a snake from here in Okinawa to the USA?

We move in about a year, and have a friendly little ball python. I wouldn't think getting a snake like that back to the USA would be too difficult but, you never know. At least, I don't :P

Are there papers for the snake that need to be had? A snake passport, perhaps? ;).

We'll likely be on a regular, commercial flight back to the USA, if that makes a difference at all.

Adopt an opposite sex python for him/her and release them in the Yambaru area of northern Okinawa. Could help us in getting pet shops to stop the exotic pet trade.

If you don't decide on doing that, good luck in getting him/her back to the States with you. Glad to see you working on that.

Thanks TP! I *almost* got another off JU classifieds but the girl flaked on me, saying the tank I had wasn't big enough. Hm, last I checked a 20gal. for a not full-grown ball is enough, but eh .
