Is it wrong or right to take candid pictures of celebrities outside of press events like the Oscars and movie premieres? What if you're a regular Joe who wants a snapshot of your favorite celebrity? Why is it wrong for a professional photog to make a living taking pictures of celebrities? What makes a person a paparazzi and not a professional photojournalist?

These and many more questions await your opinions.

To many questions. I think the paparazzi has a right to make a lving taking pictures of celebs. To a point. I think celebs are entitled to privacy just like the rest of us. I wouldn't want my picture taken coming out of the john or anything. I've met a few celebrities in my time and most of them will have their picture taken with you if you are NICE!! Nice being the correct term. Sometimes they can't because once person does it everyone will want to take a pic. Then they are there for hours. As far as what a paparazzi is, someone thats goes over "the line" when trying to get that "one" picture. Driving like an ass and whatnot. Putting other people's lives in danger etc..

I think its OK for them to take pictures at events like the Oscars, movie premiers, etc. But not to hide in the bushes and take pics of the family trying to enjoy a day at the beach, or following them when they drive. There should be some limits.

If it is not wrong for them to follow you and be in your face or illegally photo a private event or damn near run your car off the road. Then it shouldn't be wrong to punch them in the F@$King mouth!

I have to agree with Wax. For a photographer to wait in the bushes, or wherever for that matter, just to get that "one shot", when the family is trying to enjoy a day at the beach, do some shopping, in the mountains, etc.. is wrong. There's a point where making a living becomes an invasion of privacy.

I support the paparazzi 100%. These actors and what not made a choice to become famous. It comes with the territory. Nobody put a gun to their head and forced them into the spotlight. Most of them want the attention and then cry about it later. Like when they "forget" to put panties on. Give me a ******* break. If they don't like it how 'bout they give me their houses and cars and I'll deal with the paparazzi.

Another note. These car accidents that are "caused" by the paparazzi are NOT caused by the paparazzi at all. They are caused by the drivers speeding away. Instead of blamming the paparazzi blame the celebs and the drivers making the choice to speed away from them.
