I am looking for a different locations of the "make-man" or monkey hardware store. I know, the ones in Chatan, Urusoe (down on 58) and the one closest to the Jusco in Awase.
I bought someting in the 100-Yen section and they do not have anymore. So I tried the other two (the one in Awase has no 100-Yen section) and found one more in the Urusoe store. The regular 100-Yen stores do not carry that item either (tried at least 5 or so)Now I am wondering, if there are more of this store on the island and where???? I am pretty good with my maps and just the name of the neighborhood and the road number would help.....
PS What is the "real" name of that store? Does anyone know????
Thanks for any help!

The biggest Makeman (real name) store is in Tomigusuku on the road from the airport south. But it does not have a 100-yen department.
There is one in Haebaru also that does have a 100-yen department, on Route 329 on the south side of the road.
100-yen stores keep changing what they stock so addicts like me keep coming back to shop, not just when we need another roll of scotch tape.

Thank you !
Yes, they are addictive and there is always something I absolutly "need". I never manage to get out off a 100-Yen store without spending at least 2000 Yen....

There is a Makeman in Nishihara City with a good 100 Yen section. Keep going south on 329 and it'll be off the highway on your left.

That can cover a lot of territory. Can you give more specific directions because I've never noticed it from 329.

There is one between Kinser gate 3 and 4.

It is in Nagagusuku just past the Heartlife Hospital coming north from Nishihara. It is called Makeman, Newman-ten. It has a 100 yen shop in it as well, but it isnt too large.
If you are looking for 100 yen shops that have more variety I would suggest the one near Haeubaru JUSCO in the same building as Maru Dai Supermarket on 329 in Haebaru. There is also a Daiso 100 yen shop next to the Iso Bamboche, all you can eat yaki niku, near the Pizza House gate at Camp Kinser.

I go to the 100 yen store at the Navel Kadena. It has a pretty good selection. I was just there today to buy "one thing," and I came out 1500 yen poorer.

There is another hardware store up in nago, as well as urasoe just before kinser. It's not makeman but I can't remember the name. It's go a lion with green overalls on for a mascot.

There is a makeman in Nago as well and like Sonkokujin wrote the other one you are talking about sounds like Sakumoto.
