Does your current occupation affect your self-worth?

I would say yes and no. I will always have self worth, but I feel better about myself knowing that my occupation can enable the helping of others. Depends on the mission, if I put a jet in the air to destroy, it isn't always a good thing, but if it is bringing aid to areas affected by floods, earthquakes etc. it is absolutely a good thing.

As a mother, I say yes. If my child survives another day, I'm doing pretty good. As a housewife, only sometimes, because I'm really bad at the house part, but rather decent at the wife part. heh. I guess, measuring your self-worth by your job depends on your job.

I would like to say yes as a Mother also...a houswife, an idependent business owner, and a medical technologist.......I try the best I can to stretch myself out as far as possible. I work only when my husband can be home with my girls so they don't need day-care, and have family time, and I do housework with my kids...I try to include them in everthing I do....
