RCCA - HPDE Time Trial
Where: Nago Circuit
When: 5 April, 2008 from 1300 ~ 1730


On Saturday April 5th, the RCCA will be conducting a High Performance Driving Event Time Trial. This will be conducted as a timed lapping event and not a heads up race. Only one car at a time will be allowed on the track at one time due to the nature of the event and track layout. Details of all the rules will be covered at the drivers meeting.

Once all lapping is done and any re-runs are taken care of, time permitting, the track will be opened up for a Test & Tune. The same goes for opening for the general open track time.

Entry fees are 4000 yen for RCCA members and 5000 yen for nonmembers. Please, no US$.

Awards will go to the top three lap groups and overall top lap times.
1st – 3,000 yen Sanjyo’s gift certificate
2nd – 2,000 yen Sanjyo’s gift certificate
3rd – 1,000 yen Sanjyo’s gift certificate
Best single timed lap of the event - 1,500 yen Sanjyo’s gift certificate

1300 - Be on site by no later than this time.
1315 ~ 1345 - Car safety inspection and staging.
1345 - Drivers meeting.
1400 - First car starts on the track.


What is required? A helmet. Car or street bike helmets only. Full shoes. No sandals.

Pre-Safety Inspection checklist:
Make sure wheel bearings are tight.
Battery solidly secured. No bungee cords.
Throttle return spring works.
Convertibles must have a rollbar at the minimum.
No loose objects in the cabin or trunk while on the track. Bring a means of storage for these items.
Tires must show a tread. At no time during the competition can they show cords, even if they passed inspection. Bring an extra pair of tires is this could be an issue.


No alcohol is allowed on the premises at anytime!

Shoot, this would be a perfect time to bring my 180 out there. BUt I gotta go to Sgt Course....foo-ee.

ahhh reminds me of all the monthly test and tune and legal drag races on the old Bitburg Airstrip in Germany. 100% legal and I had some great races...always a GM vs. Mustang thing going too...I miss my F-Bodies :(

What do you drive now? The last event was tooth and nail and it really came down to excellent driving over any particular setup. That was a good event where the competition was tough and everybody wound up having a great time.

The RCCA also does test and tune sessions, but right now now are planned. That can change any given month depending on what they members vote on.
