I saw a shark once when I went fishing out of Awase but couldn't tell what kind it was. It had to be about 8ft long though. He followed us around for a little while but I guess he either didn't like my chum or our bait just wasn't enough to arouse his attention.

there is allot of sharks out there, especially in Kin bay, but they don't seem bothered by you

We have only seen 1 shark and that was near Torii Beach. It wasn't too large... I think.

I've come across some big ones during my diving sessions, but only once have I had one get aggressive.. lucky it was only a 4 footer.
