Hey wax, an idea....why don't you start a poll? Also, please describe the genre. I used to think Led Zepplin was rock and roll, then blues.

I gave up classifying my genre, since my son and I share Ipod downloads. I listen to what I like....no rulz.

hard rock, metal, classic rock, instrumental rock guitar (Satriani, Eric Johnson etc) hiphop, rnb, ambient (like Enigma), some Techno like (Crystal Method/Chemical Brothers/etc) and NiN (Trent Reznor is a genius, he gets his own music genre ;) ) I really love Blues (and Guitar Blues) and alot of Jazz Piano.

on other side notes and I don't know the correct genre for:

Heavy Guitar mixed with electronic bass beats (like old Body Count and some Lil' Jon) instrumentals

Heavy guitar/guitar rifts mixed with electronica (Dust Brothers - some Prodigy)

Ambient/Piano mixed with electronica, like Robert Miles. <--- You know you heard "Children" on his dreamland CD.

I like blues, blues rock, punk, metal....(as long as it has a melody). Rawness gets points from me.....garage, distorted, funky, fast, aggressive,.....ya gots ta feel it.
