Who got the rounder eye is usually wrong. So if i get stabbed by a local, its my fault because if I wasnt in Japan, I would have never gotten stabbed...

You are close to getting to the heart of the matter. However illogical it may seem to many, and you probably were being sarcastic in your remark, but there is much truth to what you wrote.

Honestly, the military prosecutes so many more BS sexual assault cases than the Japanese. The Japanese would absolutely never prosecute drunken sex between two adults as rape, yet that is the overwhelming majority of military sex assault courts-martial. If the girl in Hadnott's case had not been so young, the JPs would have told her to shut up and go home.

Its funny that you say that cause I was just thinking how come the backlash wasn't this great when that prostitue was raped in Dec by the AF dependant, not that I would want any backlash, but you would think that they would treat such an incident the same across the board, regardless of age or occupation. Or am I wrong, was there prostests and backlash then too?

That was a violent, obvious rape. And it was prosecuted as it should have been . To my knowledge, there was no uproar about the incident and that was probably, in large part, due to the lady's profession. What this shows is, despite what the public outcry may be, the Japanese system has its own legitimate standards of justice.
