Outgoing traffic on Foster

What's up with the outgoing traffic last night on Foster? Will the gate guards writing down a log of where young Marines are going do a damned thing? Marines can just say "Kadena" and then go wherever the hell they want.

Traffic was at a standstill at 2100, on every route leading to a gate. Missed the 2100 cutoff at the shoppette too. :cursing:

im sure those marines out there sont like standing there all night with the JSGs, just as much as you dont like sitting in traffic, but they are ORDERED to do it. as a gunny I suprised that you would post a compliant about policy, instead of supporting it.

I didn't bitch; I asked for thoughts, and stated that it probably won't do any good. In addition, all I saw were local gate guards; no Marines.

Got anything useful to add, or just more gripes?

I heard a rumor that they were looking for a panty bandit who was seen running out of one of the barracks with an arm-full of laundry fresh out of the dryer. They wanted to catch him before he left base. Did you notice how the gate guard leaned in and sniffed the interior of the car? Apparently the APB said the victim used Downy fabric softener, so they were checking each car and writing down the scent. You probably got "mountain breeze" for your name, I got "cigars and anal vapors."

Really, I don't know what the deal is. Initially they command tried to insinuate that ALL travel off base would be restricted whether base-to-base or otherwise. This may be residual.

Ity really doesn't make a big diff. Gunny. I just switched to NTT fiber and in real life it doesn't matter much unless you're downloading a lot of big files. It's everyone else's server that slows down the real interactions (I think)
