View Full Version : This is going to be fun now.....!!!!
Firstly let me say this for the record....Sgt Hadnott I apologize to you for thinking you guilty of the rape of a 14 year old girl.
That is the least I can do...however that being said, I still think you are guilty of misjudgement, in allowing an underage girl, whether you knew that at the time or not, a ride on your bike.
I also call into question your attempting to try to get a "kiss" off of this girl.
That being said, I was not there, and I do not know for a fact that this actually happened. However I still question your judgment over all.
Yet I give you credit for sticking to your guns and not giving in to something that you knew was wrong.
I wish you the best.
Lastly let me say this as well......on this forum at least there are many that owe you an apology for convicting you in the court of public opinion. I would hope that those that found you guilty would stop by here and make their apologizes to you known.
Marine in Okinawa rape case released (http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUST12926820080229)
All I have to say is, feels good to be right. :D
I had a hunch he was innocent all along. I think the only point I got wrong was when I said, "He will not get a fair trial even if he is innocent."
Congrats Hadnott.
To the local protesters, YOU RACK A DISCIPRINE!!!
Or as we Americans like to say it, YOU LACK DISCIPLINE!!!

I don't think he deserves any apologies from anyone. I don't remember anyone specifically saying he was guilty of rape. I remember reading a whole lot of posts about people being pissed off because of the actions he initiated. If anything, he owes everyone who's locked down an apology - it's his BS contact with a 14 year old that started the whole chain of events.
Tyrone is not "innocent" by any stretch of the imagination. He may not have raped the gal, but innocent? Hell no!
Bullshit. He was released without charges. Who are you? The court?

I felt he was guilty at least of molesting this girl, I honestly had doubts that he raped her, however from his own admission he tried to kiss this 14 year old girl.
From that point alone I thought that he would be charged with a minimum of molestation. I still think he is "guilty" of a lack of judgement, but I must also say that I could be found " guilty" of the same.
I again owe this man my apologizes for thinking he was guilty of that as well.
Now I hope that the MC doesnt drop the hammer on him too!

My Okinawan neighbors have said all along she is 'one of those hippies that hang out Gate 2 street, dress like hooker, wear too much makeup.' I had to laugh because 2 elderly Okinawan people called this girl a 'hippie'.

I wonder if the "rumors" that her family had been scamming GIs with this very situation (going for a little cash because she's "only 14") were true. There's gotta be something behind the sudden withdrawing of complaints. Maybe the DNA test came back with multiple "donors."
Either way, it's sad to know that this guy's career is now in the crapper. Of course, he's the one that pursued the 14 year old girl in the first place...
Muku, I think the USMC will probably stomp his sack over this, if for no other reason than to show the local community that they're doing something about this (in addition to the "period of refrection" that is intended to enhance disciprine).

In all seriousness here....what can the MC actually charge him with, beyond the time period that he was absent from his unit?

In all seriousness here....what can the MC actually charge him with, beyond the time period that he was absent from his unit?I'm sure they'll find all sorts of art 134 things for him, starting with conduct unbecoming, art 86 UA and the list will go on he'll most likely be busted to sgt if not worse.

Well, I'm sure they could find a few things, how about drawing LQA while his wife is no longer here? Or COLA at the w/dependants rate even though no dependents? I'm sure he's moving to a barracks room soon. He can't be charged with UA...they should have run him on Admin leave. I would not be surprised to see a court martial over this...mainly because Hadnott will never accept NJP and would probably rather take his chances with a CM.
