Since this has started, no one has really said anything to me as a ate at Obligato at lunch time, had my Vanilla Chai at starbucks, or my time in MakeMan, or walking down on the beach during the sunny parts of the day. I think I must look like an MP waiting to catch people. Anyhow, as I toured gate 2 today and went into a store to look at some nice shoes, they guy was no where to be found. After calling for help several times, he came out and said I was the first person he seen all week. We chatted for a while and then I returned to my car out on the deserted streets. Then I went to Park Avenue, and stopped into the greatest Thai Restaurant Som Chai, and then walked over to the the music store. I got some looks from Japanese folks but no American's bothered me. What was funny though, was that on gate 2 there was a Japanese Salaray Man walking around with a clipboard asking each business how their businesses were going through the lockdown. They didn't know I could speak Japanese, and the shop owner (where I was looking at shoes) told him I was ok, I live here and have a business in Okinawa. That's been my experience this week. No GySGT, no MPs, but there was a JP car that kept riding pass me over and over while I was walking to Family Mart next to the new lion's mansion in Mihama...
