He was arrested off base so the general has NO say and should'nt. He should face the music og the Japanese justice system which in my opinion is FAR better than in America!

I don't think anyone here cares about his rights!

Michael P. Fay was an american teen in Singapore tha decided to tag some cars in Singapore and was sentenced to caning 6 strokes. It sparked a small international incident but guess what nothing the US could do to save this kids ass (pun completly intended). It goes to show you make bad choices in a foreign land your subject to whatever corpral or lethal punishment the host country can provide.:old:

All he has to do is request the case tranferred to the 12th circuit court in California because of his SOFA status. But, I am not sure he would want to be in an American prison convicted of rape....
