For my b-day(March 1) is enjoy this beautiful island. I want to go shopping, walk the beach, and go out to a real dinner. We are just approching week 1 of the lock down, and Im having some serious cravings for our fav restraunts!
My question is...how are the on base "clubs" doing recently?! I guess my friends and I will be stuck going to the NCO club on Kadena. Any other ideas? We are still pretty new here and have only been to the NCO on Kadena.

Honestly, I'd just postpone your celebration. Just wait until we're off restriction, then go out and do the stuff you want to do. Way better then settling for the mediocre at best club food.

if you want to "get away" during the lockdown, you could try one of the northern camps. ourawan beach is on one of them... think it's schwab. hear its nice though. you could try one of the restaurants on another base as well, like the palms on hansen... well, think it's on there. those camps up north have mostly single folks who aren't usually big on the "fine dining" thing. using "fine" loosely. heh. either way, enjoy your birthday. they say we don't get any younger. heh. :D

Whatever you do DONT go to HANSEN especially on the weekend to the PALMS.
