I didn't get one this year. Took my chances. Wonder if I should still go get one just to keep a spring or summer flu from gettin' me -- or at least give myself a better chance at avoiding one of the three.

A little offtopic, but one of my Chinese friends who is a vegetarian sometimes slips me one of her super onigiris or mochis at school. Today she gave me a whole pile of yakisoba topped with two slices of a soy sausage that really tasted like.... Spam!!! Yes, some company has discovered the secret formula and is copying it to get that famous addictive taste.

There is a serious Flu-LIKE bug going around these parts.
People are getting VERY sick and almost all end up with a secondary infection (sinus infection, bronchitis, pneumonia, all kinds of YUCK stuff)
Flu tests come back negative, news is reporting it is just some other random virus that then causes other issues.

We had one medical facility that had no radiation techs to do x-rays cause the entire radiology clinic was out sick with the crap:-|

I have the runny nose and sinus congestion with the sore throat and cough AGAIN. wtf?! No more flu shots for me. Good grief! :cursing:

I had it back in November - just a cold - then got really sick when I got pregnant (beginning of December)... and then ANOTHER cold at the beginning of this month. The husband has a sinus infection after being sick for a couple of weeks. Augh.

You get a flu shot and it just gives you a cold... who needs that.
I say just start eating the food you drop on the floor-- and I'm not just talking about M&M's in your kitchen. I'm talkin' like-- a 12'' meatball sub in your bathroom. Do this for a couple of years and (if you survive) your immune system will be able to beat down any virus or bacteria that you might come in to contact with.

OK, now it is peak MOLD season, cool and damp. So, especially if you suspect you or fams are allergic, keep your rooms ventilated or shut the windows and run your a/c on Dry.

It is looking like a fairly short rainy season this year, but the summer months will be very humid too.
