From talks there was fear of traps, and "cry wolf" for rape incidents, and people were told to be aware of it, in case local females wanted to stir up some more crap with false accusations...also right after Kadena LORE which extended longer than usual.

Wow, I was here in the 90's and this happenned back then. Oh look, I am back again in 2008 and it happenned again. This culture we live in feeds on Americans. Were the issues at hand right, Hell no!Are they now??Hell no!! But, it happenned and Americans who were not at fault on this island have to deal with it. Can we talk about Okinawans and their care for chlidren as they drive and kids in the seat with no seatbelts on the highways and call it careless???No... Can we call Okinawans on the women that sit outside the clubs with the skirts held SHORT exceptable???No...Can we call Okinawans on the constant destruction of the land of the island of Okinawa because they feel the need to build on every single inch of Okinawa for Money exceptable(I give you Awase Golf course for example)or Awase Bay???? No... Can we fault the Okinawans for running every single Red light, eventhough they harm Okinawans and Americans exceptable every single day?No... Can they fault the women who hang outside the clubs on Gate 2 street exceptable with short skirts and no MORALS consistently seeking Hip Hop culture and Americans????NO(No Morals)...or the one's wishing to get on military bases to shop SHOP I said, yes you know who you are...????No!!We cannot, we are imprisioned to the thoughts and ideology of Okinawa. We are imprisioned to the MAINLAND Japanese that come to this island to raise their flags and drive by Camp Foster with their loudspeakers and try to ruin the good people of the American Militaries image!!!!. Our we imprisioned to the constant motorcycles that frequent the base with loud revving motors, due to irresponsipble parents unable to control their kids?NO!!!!I ask you what are we responsible for? The rest are good people. I hope Okinawans will read my post. Because I know I am a good citizen and I will bet 99.7% of the other Americans here are the same. Okinawans are smart though, and do not label us with the same piece of sticky tape. Agree. 99.7% of Americans on Okinawa are law abiding and respectful of others to the same degree people are in the U.S. We have plenty of crime in America, and we read about it on Yahoo and CNN and good ol' Stars and Stripes, and watch it on television, but we do NOT stereotype all residents of (fill in a city or town) as being liars, cheats, crooks or criminals.

It is disappointing when our brothers screw up and wind up getting us all grounded like kids, but commanders do have responsibilities to clean up.
