Hi
Thought I would start a new post for anyone out there having relationship problems.
I recently split up from my long term girlfriend and am feeling pretty isolated now so was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat and wanted to make some new friends in a similar situation.

Sorry to hear about your split with your gf!! Every relationship has it's problems and we just have to cope with it as it comes and goes....even married ones!! :/ (Not in the same boat though)
Always opened to talk and new friends!! I know there's times we need to vent or need someone to talk to. I do hope things get better for you. :)

Talk with you better half, even if he/she doesn't want to. I do that to my wife if she's mad at me for some reason, never let her go to bed angry at me. Even if it boils down to a "what's bothering you"/"Nothing I'm fine" back and forth for a while.

No way man...let her go. Millions of women in the world, and possibilities are endless. A new start is the way to go.
I dated a lady for over 3 years recently, and she just EMAILED me one day saying she found someone else. She didn't get a response back. Now I'm dating a great girl who has me wondering why I wasted my time with the first.

Sorry to hear about this. Hopefully you will be able to find a few here on the forum who have gone through, or are going through, the same thing who would be willing to chat with you as a support group. If you are sensitive to wise crack remarks that could be made from a discussion of the issue in the open, then I suggest when you do find those people, do it via PM, or you can create a private chat in the flash chat that can be accessed through your Quick Links pull down menu at the top of the page.
Good luck and keep on keeping on.

I've gone through it. My husband has also. It wasn't with each other though. We were lucky to have a few close friends to help us move on. Each person deals with a break-up differently. It can be rough, but keeping yourself busy helps to get over it, which is different than getting through it. Don't listen to the old fogies here. :p They like to think they're funny. Then again, some say that laughter is the best medicine.
