4 Marines charged in alleged October gang rape

HIROSHIMA, Japan — Four U.S. Marines have been charged with gang-raping a Japanese woman last October, according to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni. Japanese prosecutors dropped gang-rape charges against them in November.

The Iwakuni station said the U.S. military charged the four men in December with the alleged sexual assault of the woman, stealing cash from her and disobeying orders.

The 20-year-old woman told a preliminary hearing at Iwakuni on Thursday that she had been raped by the four men, aged between 20 and 39.

The hearing is being held to determine whether the four will be tried by court-martial. It will continue Friday.

This was from the 4 Marines up in Iwakuni back in October. The Japanese prosecutors dropped gang-rape charges, but now the military is deciding how to prosecute them...from that I read at least.

Just dredging up more mud to sling at the ugly Americans, good thing they advocate rewriting the history books over here. Although these crimes are heinous those in glass houses......

So let me get this straight,
Japanese prosecutors drop the charges and the military is going to charge them? wtf is wrong with that unit? So much for taking care of your own.

If they were guilty the charges would'nt have been dropped.

Sacrificing Marines to apease the locals, the same people that want Amercian Military gone. Cant wait to see Okinawa or the Mainland in 20 yrs after that happens.
