Anyone have this game yet?

I got it and was playing it lastnight. I think it is a great game...far better then the previous games in the series. The two knocks to the game for me (and after about 4 hours of gameplay, I can only come up with two)....you have to drive to every point, you cant just warp there. I dont like this, it is a pain when you get a new ride to have to drive all the way to the junkyard to switch vehicles. The second thing is there is nobody in the car.....not that big a deal, but just looks silly having an empty car flipping through the air smashing into buildings.....

Some of the good things....

-It is wide open. You can drive anywhere, smash most things, lots of barriers to break, things to find and smash into...etc.
-Graphics are damn good. Not picture perfect, but they are good.
-LOTS of things to do....this game will keep you busy for a good while, and that is only single player.
-Online modes, I havent even touched these, but I can only imagine they will be fun.
-The animations/destruction. Going from 200mph to zero in a few secs (while you watch your car disintegrate in slow motion) is flat out awesome.

Definately worth the buy IMO.

I saw you playing it the other day. Looks good and I've yet to hear anything bad about it.

gunna have to try it. I miss my days on the autobahn in germany with my hot rods, and not to mention legal drag racing there and at home with the GN.

So anyone have this game yet or just not interested in racers? It is pretty fun online, you can get from 2-8 people alone in a game, and knock out all the challenges, its actually pretty fun to do. Going online not so much, seems like the only thing people are concerned about is taking each other down...kinda lame. Even when some throws a challenge up, like power parking, some idiot comes flying at you and nails you.

Overall it is a great game though...

I bought it last week, played it for a couple hours, and haven't touched it since. I liked a couple of the earlier burnout games, but the concept gets old fairly quickly for me. I did like the open world in this game, but it didn't add enough to keep me interested. I'd recommend this game for someone who has never touched the series, it'd be an awesome place to start. For me though, I'll go back to getting shot down with Ace Combat 6.

don't be fooled turtle - this game is garbage - picture GTA without the Grand Theft. It feels hollow - also the lack of the demolition mode hurts the fun factor of this game significantly. They added the showtime feature in its place but it really dosnt help any.

Anyone play TOCA Race Driver 3? It's a fairly realistic simulator that has tons of cars and tracks - everything from go karts to F1.

I also heard the free-roam, open world is a bad thing about it. Unlike NFS: Most Wanted, you can pick a race on the map and pretty much be able to do it right away. On Burnout, if you lose a race, you have to physically drive back to that race in the free-roam, which can be tedious sometimes.

Yes, that is a PitA, but it is kinda good in a way. You learn shortcuts and take the time to figure out the best route back. I think it is a very fun game. The best in the Burnout series yet.
