I am going to buy a Pioneer Carrozzeria AVIC-HRZ99 navi unit and was wondering if anyone knew how billing on it works.. Pioneer's website doesn't say anything about billing...

Any help is appreciated.

I figure if worse comes to worse I can always put it on my docomo bill like everything else in Japan...

It's pretty unneeded in Okinawa not to mention the units themselves cost more than the majority of cars rolling around the bases. I want one for my own personal agenda though.

Koopa, billing for what, using the Navi?

You don't have to pay anything for using navi in the car.

Oh cool, thanks!

Guyjin... Yeah I know it's not needed and I don't have problems finding my way around unless one of my Uchinan friends are giving me directions... :dead:

I just want it for my own reasons...

Heck call me a nerd but I like my Navi. Enter a phone number of a business and it tells you exactly how to get there. It tells you about traffic jams and will give you alternate routes. I know there are not that many alternate routes on Okinawa but it helps sometimes. Estimates your arrival time as well.

I've got a Garmin Nuvi 360, and I use UpUpDown's Japanese turn-by-turn maps. they're excellent, well worth the 9,000 or so yen I paid!

Clarification: By japanese maps, I meant maps of Japan in the English language.

I got a Toyota navi, G-book or something like that. Not to fancy but does the job.
