Take along some reading materials, only drink water, walk around every once in a while, and you'll be good to go.:D
No jet lag or anything. Believe me I know.:old:
Used to subscribe to dk's way of thinking, but after trying the water only routine, I'm hooked. Course, there's still the smoking issue. I'm not exactly an easy person to get along with after 14 hours of not being able to smoke.

I'm not sure. I don't want to take the baby out into the cold rain or a smokey restaurant. I don't quite trust my mom alone with the baby yet either. How about, "we'll see"? heh.

Probably Jon Jon's in Mihama (all you can eat and drink for Y3,000), and then we'll take the survivors to Hank & Rumi's.

It's ok. I totally understand. My wife very, very rarely ever gets a chance to go to an izakaya (still breastfeeding). If you get the urge, stop by just to say hi. We can always come out to the entrance to meet you so you don't have to pay the door charge.

I once took a face dive straight onto the end a table on that stuff lol. Didn't even feel drunk, but apparently I had no legs...
But I love nihonshu. I don't drink awamori at home because it just gets annoying to get up for more ice, water, stir, etc, but with nihonshu I can just plant my bottle right next to my desk and surf the internet or watch tv while drinking it. Probably my favorite drink.

Yeah, happened to me at an izakaya too hahaha. Big crowded room, scrawny white guy going kamikaze against an innocent table.
You guys are right though. Nothing screws up the legs (for me) worse than too much nihonshu. With everything else I'll either fall asleep or (pretty rarely) vomit, but with nihonshu, I'll bust myself up pretty badly trying to walk to the daiko driver.

Oh, forgot to add, reservations have been made for Saturday, 6:30pm for 12-15 people. I doubt we'll have more than that at one time, but if we do, I'm sure we can ask for more chairs. When you get there, tell there you are there for the JapanUpdate party. Otherwise, they might just try to seat you anywhere...

So what happened to Ja because when everyone left it was just bones and Ja?
I told them both we were heading out to Hanks but they were still outside talking when dk and I got in a taxi for Hanks.
I talked to him later, actually a couple of times, thej first time I offered to wait outside of Hanks and he could come by in a taxi pick me up and then we could travel south together, but nothing came out of that. Then the second time I talked to him he told me he was at a bus stop in Mihama, I offered then to take a taxi from Hanks back to Mihama and pick him up and go home, however he told that it was alright.
I was a bit surprised, and called him a 3rd time before going hime myself, and I offered again to pick him up however he declined. After talking to him I apologized that we couldnt go back together and I then went home. I got home around 1AM.
JA Thanks for coming last night, I enjoyed your company and the cigar  very much. Say hello to your "relative's" daughter for me, I haven't seen her in years. I hope she is well.

It's Thai whiskey, and an STD detector. You have to be careful with it once you open the bottle. It contains formaldehyde, and after a few days it could deteriorate into something undrinkable.
Last time I was in Thailand was back in '75, and it's an excellent STD detector. Say a guy who goes out with a lot of different women catches something, but doesn't know it. Well, if he drinks a bunch of Mekong, and starts ripping the plumbing out of the wall the next time that he has to use the head, it's time to go to clinic for a shot.:D
