When it comes to Sunday Brunch, I can't say enough good things about this place. Kind of sad that our son isn't here at the moment, because one of the things on the menu was "Eggs Benedict", one of his favorites.

Went there this afternoon, and man, was it crowded. It was almost as bad as it was back in the "Old Days", and there were more Okinawan families enjoying their meals, than at any other time since we've been back.

Kind of miss the flamboyant lady, with her brightly colored dresses, and hats.

The only reason that we went was our daughter asked us to take her, but it was a lot of fun. Her lesser half had to work, we got to spend some quality time together, and for such a small girl, she can pound down some food. So it was well worth it.:D

Any bases north/south of Kadena Air Base, have a nice "Sunday Brunch" that we may not be aware of?

They do a good job at the Kinser Surfside as well. Me and my Wife love going to brunch there. :)

Not bad, I'll agree with you on that. One of the big turn-offs for us, they moved "The All American Breakfast" from the Ball Room to the snack bar, on Saturday mornings.

They even threw in a "Free S&S", while you were waiting for your meal to arrive. Don't know about anybody else out the there, but I'd rather look at the ocean, than a parking lot. The food wasn't bad, and the service was pretty good as well.:thumbup1:

They had clowns:confused: So did you go for the brunch but stay to see how many clowns can fit in a small car:D

Kadena's NCO (Rocker) club has a brunch, but I call it more of a breakfast, as there are no lunch items on the menu.

The O'club has one as well, but I haven't tried it yet.

Shields used to have a good one, but it's been a while since I went. I tried to go 3 weeks ago, but they had changed their hours and it ended earlier than I thought. I think it stops at 1??

Courtney's Tengan Castle has a pretty good brunch too, but they are closed for renovations until March 08.

Hey NBTP, My wife was asking which side you were sitting at? She was working the section near the desert bar.:) She was also exclaiming how crowded it was.:D

Of all the places mentioned so far, I don't think that we've ever been to Courtney, for the Brunch.

The Rocker Club, on Kadena used to have a full featured Brunch. But they've turned it down a notch by serving only breakfast.

Kadena Officers Club, not bad, but too dark. They also have cut down on the variety of food offered.

Camp Shields, not bad, but they moved their Brunch from the ballroom, to the dining room. But if you're only interested in a good meal for lunch during the week, this is a good place to go. Love the new waffle fries, Nap's barbecue isn't a slouch either, and the service remains as good as it always was.:first:

Camp Kinser's Surfside Club, haven't made it down there yet this time around. Maybe next weekend. It used to be great, we'll just have to see.

But still, when it comes down to it, The Butler Officers Club, still beats anything that's available elsewhere on the island, as it relates to on-base dining. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, at a reasonable price.

For casual breakfast, with a view, nothing beats the Tee House on Kadena Air Base. The food is nothing special, but great service. :thumbup1:
