Who is that new guy on AFN. He sounds like he is always trying to get in bed with you when he introduces a song...he's HORRIBLE!! He thinks he is Barry F'n White or something?
Another thing...he pronounces Kadena as Ka-den-a...isn't it ka-DE-na? That pisses me off to...and maybe I'm wrong and he's write...but damn it's annoying that he wants to be the odd one out and everyone has to listen to him! GET HIM OFF THE AIR!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Not sure who it is haven't been listening lately. Btw Kadena is pronounced kah deh nah かでな Not Ka DEE nah:D かでぃーな. Not sure how he's saying it on the air but if he's new I can hardly blame him.:)

He was on the air for a while, but thank god they got rid of him. I think he was covering folks that were on leave for Christmas/Turkey Day. Hopefully he'll be back off the air.

I'm all about voice inflection and not having a monotone voice, but that guy hurts me....Hurts me to my soul....

I don't know why, but it actually agitates me when I hear American people pronounce it properly on the radio. Maybe because I grew up with "kah-dee-nah".

Yea, it always turns my head when someone says O-key-now-wa, when everyone seems to say Oak-a-now-wa.

I think the guy you're referring to is indeed Aries D. I hate when he's on the air as well. Although, if you hear him in some of the PSA type commercials, he actually has a decent radio voice. As for the Kadena pronunciation issue, I also get annoyed when people use the actual Japanese pronunciation when speaking in English. I guess it's just the typical american in me.

yeah i heard that guy "Aries D"...
i kinda like his voice. i heard him today and his voice just does something. lol. i can see why men might not like it.
the music he plays is good too. alot better than some of the crap they normally play.
