So what is everyone doing for new year's eve? Anybody know of any good places? I'm excited because I can actually go out this new year's eve and get hammered! Once I was younger my job kept me from partying on new year's eve. I could have done something last year, but I had a curfew:thumbdown: so I couldn't stay out past 1am. But this year....NO CURFEW!!!
My parade was almost rained on though. I found out yesterday that I could have been sent TDY to hawaii for some training on the 1st thru the 5th. I would have had to take it easy on new year's eve if I was going. But I found out today that there isn't any funding for the TDY so I don't have to go! So I'm ready to get wasted!
So....the real purpose of this thread is to ask two questions.
1. What is everyone doing for new year's eve?
2. Know of any good places to go for new year's eve?
I have no idea what's going on this year. I might go out with my ex-coworker for beers, but whenever we make plans they never actually end up happening. I guess we're both too spontaneous, and having a baby daughter keeps me tied down pretty hardcore. So... maybe I'll just walk to the nearby bar after my wife falls asleep or something. Not sure, really. I've definitely got to be home for her, and it's impossible for her to go out right now.

Mostly family stuff, since we've only been back for 4 months.
Next year who knows?

Well if anyone is interested there will be fireworks at the beach behind mihama. I went here last year, and it was nice.

I'm pretty sure that there will be fireworks where we are going as well.
My wife's oldest brother's wife doesn't much care for me.
She's communist, hates the fact that I was in the military.
And, I enjoy the hell out of being able to ruin her New Year.
It's wrong on so many levels, but works for me.:D

I hadn't thought of it really. We may have a few friends over for drinks or something... hmm. With the new baby, we're not really up to the partying thing. Will have to discuss it with the husband.
Y'all have fun, be careful if going out, and avoid Gate 2 street! :D

Plans??? People make PLANS?!?!?!? Whoa! What a concept. :D Okay done being extra sarcastic.
We've done a big thing at a hotel with friends so the kids can swim & we all play board games & bring junk food and such for the last three years but doesn't sound too appealing at the moment. Think we are skipping all that this year.
... home, fireplace, movies, & gin are likely the extent of our plans.:D

I plan on a nice boring stay at home. My wife and I will have a few beers and watch a movie.

I'm fairly sure my wife wants to go to the fireworks. But after that, I have no idea what we're doing.

Hanging out at the neighbors as usual. They also celebrate their marriage anniversary on New Year's Eve, so they always host a party. At least I can crawl home if it gets that bad :w00t:

I also picked up some confetti popers at the Hyaku-en shop. The 100 yen shop is great.
I still don't know what I'm doing:D
Me neither. I'm probably just going to enjoy it on the couch. :p

Might hit up a near by Izakaya and head over to I's bar for some micro brews. My wife is meeting a friend over there. Either way I wanna get ripped but don't want to get submersed in a crowd of idiots.:) Hope I'm not asking for too much.:D
