What's that white stuff?

I kind of miss it though. It's been so many years. I have these "Christmassy" thoughts of carrying in firewood passed the "real" tree, the smell of the wasil bowl and fresh pine blending delightfully with freshly baked bread and a lovely ham in the oven.
Okay. I'm over it now.

Ummm. As far as visual beauty, not much can beat OR. I've gotten used to Okinawa but it's not all that lovely unless you're looking out to sea.

Where I grew up, we could always see at least two volcanos. I miss that very much. I haven't seen the PNW since 1991 on a short visit.
I've been looking at home prices there. Nothing is as I remember it, and it seems like a bad (expensive) place to retire. My mother is in S. WA and enjoys it. I do miss it.

I still own a house in the Rogue Valley but if I ever go back it would be to the coast. Home prices have risen there a lot too though but I could swing it when I sell.

I miss snow:(
Of course I don't miss the cold with the lake effect breeze making it a chilly -30F.

We are supposed to get 5-10" on Christmas eve.
Kinda excited about actually having a white Christmas.....had a couple of years where there was week old snow or even 4 days old but The night before will be nice.
Hope it really happens and that the weather guy isn't just leading me on. :D
Though I do miss being able to go to the beach on Christmas day.

Imagine working on the lake, outside, during a blizzard with -40 temps. The whole time your standing outside waiting for casino junkies who still try to come to the casino in those conditions to valet their car:thumbdown:

Is that what you did?

Yeah I was a valet runner and we had to stand outside all the time and we were right by the lake.

I remember about 3 years ago the Navy was giving people pay incentives for choosing that area for Duty cause no one wanted to go there for that reason.

Hell they can pay me extra to go back home. Cost of living is really expensive though.

More snow today and windy also. If you spend any time outside you begin to look like Nanook of the North. :D
