What's up with this song being played everyday? It's not like a new top 40 hit but its always played at least once a day. ????

I must be her version: Kimberley Locke version (2007) my bad.................

The thing is that it's not new.

"Band of Gold" is a popular song written by Edith Wayne and Ron Dunbar and originally recorded by Freda Payne. Almost immediately following its release, the song became an instant pop smash reaching #3 in the US and #1 on the UK singles chart for six weeks in September 1970, giving Payne her first gold record.

This is why I question why we hear it so much. I know of many better songs from the 70's if they want to stay in that decade. Funny you have not heard it yet.
