Anyone want to have an intelligent conversation about MMA? Frankly, I'm pretty disappointed about the sad state of Pride. I wasn't a big fan of UFC, but I guess I'll have to be a fan by default now that most the talent from Pride is migrating over there. Also, UFC has brought some legitimacy to the sport. UFC events are outselling WWE and Boxing on PPV. I'm looking forward to Couture v. Gonzaga, Henderson v. Rampage, and Silva v. Marquardt.

WAR RAMPAGE!
Yeah, it's sad about the demise of PRIDE. Can't blame that on anything but mismanagement by DSE and their connections to the underworld.
Waiting for UFC to announce they have signed Fedor, the baddest man on the planet.
Peace,
BK out

i dont really understand the pride/ufc merger. So pride was bought by UFC, but that doesnt necessarily mean that all the fighters move over to UFC? I guess contracts and things wouldnt allow that. No more Pride events? No more events in Japan? Yeah - this sux forreal. The Pride events were so much more international, bringing lots of different styles to the fight. And the fighters were on a totally different level than UFC. The UFC champions were like mid level fighters when they tried to step up to Pride - look at Rampage Jackson, Anderson Silva, the iceman, the list goes on.
I do like the octagon better than the ring though - all that repositioning and holding on the ropes took too much time away from the fights. Other than that, I think UFC sucks. I hope they sort it out.
