For whatever reason, I never learned to type. I am pretty fast with my two middle fingers, but I have to look at the keyboard and then correct the mistakes later. It's a real handicap but I guess I got used to it and have written thousands of pages this way in my lifetime.:old:

Just wondering how many others suffer this too. Or if you can touch type, where and how did you learn?

I'm the same as you....I actually had :old::old:typing:old::old: classes in HS.

This darn Japanese keyboard though has it's keys so close together that I often type TWo captial letters at the same time.

I hate proofreading with a passion.:o

I hate the Japanese laptop keyboards - I'm always hitting the key that switches from romaji to kana.

On my desktop (now) I am using a Saitek keyboard I bought because it has illuminated keys, but I make a lot of goofs because the keys are a little taller than standard and for some reason I often hit two at once. Doesn't really make sense, but I'm ready to find another keyboard.

Until recently I was using a Microsoft egronomic "split" keyboard that I loved, until that is my youngest spilled a coke on it:eek::o...oh well.

Me too. Does that make me old?

I learned in the Marine Corps. 4 years in Legal Services Support Center. That was really interesting......seeing all the crazy sh** that went on on-base and off. A lot of alcohol-related.

My hubby uses his two pointed fingers on both hands and he's pretty fast with it. I don't know how he can do it. I get so annoyed if i can't type with both hands. sometimes i'm holding my daughter and i'm typing with one hand i just want to break the keyboard LOL. My teacher in middle school put a shoe box over the keyboard and with every mistake you make, you end up hearing glass breaking in the background. with 30 other students it starts to get really annoying so all of my classmates just got with the program and tried as much as possible not to make mistakes.
