What do teachers really make?

I got tired of this category having "Never" in the "Last Post" column. Here's an inspiring video from Taylor Mali. It's not a stand-up routine so it's not meant to be funny. Rather, it's slam poetry. I'm pursuing a career in education and I found this video to be very, very motivating.

That's an awesome video. I had a job teaching english to elementary school kids down in naha for two years, and I have to tell you, although my job was relatively cake, I haven't met any harder workers than that teachers I've met over the years. That job is NOT for the faint of heart. And that was just elementary school. I pity highschool teachers. Well, pity and admire. I couldn't do it.

But every now and then when I do meet a genuinely dumb teacher/professor, I do tend to throw around the joke that "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach." But it's mostly just a poke at them, not the profession. I should probably watch my mouth though lol.

I dunno. I found it to be a mix between Christian evangelicals and a rip off of Jim Carry's sucking laugh and facial expressions.
