I am going to start a group to help me make my business ideas come to life successfully. I don't plan on paying people for their assistance till I start making money off my projects. How much money should they get for their assistance? I was thinking of only getting five people, and all they have to do is help me get started, then when I'm making enough money to get professionals, they will get 2% each of the profits for the life of the business. they will just have to stand by as advisors to me.

ahhh no idea what your talking about.. You'r just looking for people to "help" you get your ideas off the ground? Like what, how to go about starting a business in japan? Are you SOFA status? I mean if you just looking for informantion, just ask. You would be suprised what you can get for free. :)
Now if your looking for partners to help you do the foot work and start a business and or invest money into your ideas. Then yea.. thats a little different. And I'm sure anyone that would even remotely be interested would need to know what your ideas are up front..

And I'm sure anyone that would even remotely be interested would need to know what your ideas are up front..

I've got mad advise.
How can you have advice regarding something you haven't even heard the basics about yet? :p

I think the OP starter knows he can get free advice for just asking. However, I think the reason he is offering the 2% is because he doesn't want those persons giving him advice to be casual in that; he wants them to really go the extra distance to make sure that he is successful so he offers them an incentive to be very proactive in the interest of his success.
I think it is an interesting idea.

thats understandable.. but again, we need to know what kind of advice he needs. Like I would know more about what you need to open up a garage. But couldnt begin to tell you what you need to do to open up a hair saloon.

Yes. He needs to give a general field in which his business is going to be in so that at least he can attract those kinds of persons with knowledge of that field to him.
I think he was just telling us his strategy for success and throwing it out there to see what people thought of THAT i.e. his way of going about it.
If he wants nuts and bolts advice, then yes, he needs to be more specific.

Well, If you asked me for advice on a business, and promised me 2% for the life of the business, that is a great deal, if you had a great plan. Of course I would have to see a very detailed business plan.

life of the business. Hmmmmmmmm If your talking on okinawa, that equals about 3 years. that is the average time for a business around here to fold. that's not very long.
