I got it today all I can sy is wow, the graphics are awesome, you go from ground fighting, to AC-130 gunner, to Door gunner, the story is pretty awesome also. In the long run, IMO, the PS3 is the better deal. You get more out of the box then the 360 and you dont have to pay to play online. Once Sony drops the price of that monster, it will be an even better deal, but who knows when that will be. I love the 360, works great for me, but if it were to break tomorrow, I would have a PS3 the following day.
There are some great/amazing xbox exclusive games, but fortunately for me, they are FPS type games, which I really dont care for...

I own a 360 but not a ps3 so I don't really know which is better. It's true that ps3 is too expensive and that's a big turn off for me. But I will eventually get one (for the blu-ray disc player and MGS4). Then I will know for sure which one is better. But I do like my 360 and I am happy I got it. Lol, yes, of course they would. Fan boys do tend to stray in that way. I do applaude the fact that you have been doing your own research though. Most people don't and just want people to tell them what to buy...lemming or even sheep like..no?

Honestly, both systems are good. Each has their perks and that is where you need to make your decision IMO.
PS3:
Pros:Free to play on internet. Blu-ray compatible. In about 3-4 years the graphics will probably be better than 360 due to more disk space on blu-ray type games. 1/4 of games promised are actually coming out.
Cons:Poor online support(I've heard nightmare stories), from what I can tell fewer people have them which means fewer people to play with/against online, inferior graphics for at least the next 3-4 years, and I make fun of you :p

Xbox 360:
Pros:Xbox live, very good customer service and online support, numberous games, better graphics for the next couple years.
Cons: Red ring of death (but w/3 year warrenty on all 360's it's not really a problem), pay for online play....not sure what else?

I got it for the 360, I got the NTSC version, but it is a region free game, but when the NTSCJ version comes out it will be locked, I can say the graphics are outstanding, But my favorite act so far is when I get to operated the gun control on the AC-130, that 155mm is a beast.

YES!!! I played it on a buddy's 360 just for that mission. I love the black humor with it too! Like when you hit a group of people with the 155mm the spotter goes, "Ohhh, that look like it hurt". Almost reminds me of Full Metal Jacket, hehe.

that is an awesome game..i love the graphics. I'm glad i invested in the ps3. I love watching blu-ray disc. although i prefer watching blu ray movies that are current. watching old movies on blu ray doesn't really make a difference. at least that's what i noticed. :)

Blu ray will be the only reason I will get a PS3, I havent been impressed with sony, since xbox first came on the scene. But speaking of the dark humor, they have some good one liners in it. Im loking into xbconnect or xlink to see if we can actually play with the PS3 guys..this is a free service , I will keep you posted as I find out more.

Online play is fast and furious, room will hold up to 18 players and really not much lag. I played with some of my buddies back in the states it was cool, and you can rank up pretty fast .

No, I only know of one person with the WII and she is "all WIIED OUT". Her and her son love it, but he comes to my place to jump on the 360 since not to many japanese have 360's

I've never played any xbox. i only know 2 people that have it. most of my friends have the WII and the ps3. so i can't judge if i like it or not. maybe one of these days i'll eventually play the system.

well honestly if you do get one, get the elite, or the arcade(the cheapest) both have hdmi but the arcade doesnt have the harddrive, the elite comes with 120G hd, and now with the new update that just came out, you have the ability to stream DIVX and avi. movies from your PC to the xbox and honestly they look awesome. The down side is being here and not being able to download the movies and TV shows from xbox, since they decided back in may to go with region coding.

Nice, nice. I served with a couple Kiwi's while in Afghan. When we escorted them to their plane they did the "huka"(sp?). We weren't really sure what they hell they were doing at first...but it was impressive. Some of the guys weren't sure if they should get their weapons, lol. Later on I found out what it was all about and it was definitely an honor to have seen that in person and that they displayed it for us. I find it funny how the Aussies and Kiwi's give each other shit too. :) Kinda like Americans and Canadians.

Yeah, we had about 8-9 kiwis and aussies come up here for about 3-4 months 2yrs ago, they did some work on kadena and after we would meet up at hard reef sunabe, then head out to gate 2 street for a night of drunken piss and fighting, it was fun

I still play! I love the game. Right now I'm working on getting my Barret .50 Cal. 150 Headshot achivement. I'm at 125 atm. Then I get my Red Tiger Camo for it.
I've been thinking about doing prestige mode...but I don't think I'm going to. I enjoy my guns and perks. :army:

It's good. Promotions come fast along with addition perks, weapons, create a class. It really encourages you to play. Once you reach level 55 you get a gold plated Desert Eagle, very sexy!

Whenever you start the multi player up, it shows level 1, but changes back over to whatever rank you actually are. I panicked the first time I saw lvl1 when I was a 55. Good playing with you last night too.

Yeah, it was fun, but then I got booted out...dont know why. I wish that is all it was. I made it to lvl 9 the other night, then got reset to lvl 1. I played yesterday and made it to lvl 14, then after I got booted out, I am back to lvl 6. I tried numerous times to log out then back in, its still lvl 6. Unless I can get back to lvl 14, I dont think im going to waste my time with this game anymore. Pisses me off to waste time lvling up just to lose several lvls everytime I log out.

I just cant play this game right now. Im still down to lvl 6. That is complete BS and I wont deal with it. This is the first game I was actually interested in playing online (FPS that is). The game is awesome, but not saving progress makes the game go from a 10 to a 1. Biggest PoS Ive played in a long time. I will check on it again from time to time, if they fix it, I will play again.

Well after spending nearly an hour on the phone with Xbox Live Tech Support, they pretty much said, were aware of the problem and are trying to fix it.....

I wasnt happy with that answer so I talked to a supervisor. He walked me through resetting my gamertag and said that might do the trick. I hope it works, I dont so much mind losing the few lvls, but I do mind playing knowing im going to keep losing them.

i have both...i was always a playstation fan...so imma have to go to with playstation...


playstation...the online is free which is great. connect a cable your done.

the ps3 controller isnt "battery"....so it makes it easier...
the controller is also lighter so it makes it easier..

but the Xbox graphics are amazing...


but for me im not a graphic person, im more of a "story line" person. if the graphics is bad, and the story line is good..im good with that. the other way...sucks.


i like RPG games and sony has more, so i like that better.

This game is off the HOOK!! Beats the socks off of Halo 3 by a long shot. My PSN ID for the PS3 network is Stewad. Any cats out there in Okinawa wanna shoot it out online add me to your friends list. I keep connecting to stateside games and lag like crazy. Same with the xbox live version. As far as the whole "which version is better" debate, they both look the same to me. I own both systems and can't really see a difference in online play or graphics. Here lately my PS3 has been getting all the attention. With Drakes Fortune, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank future, Assassins Creed, and Unreal Tournament 3 hitting the shelves with year my 360 is gathering dust.
