I was looking at their site today, and just curious if others have used it?

I've always just stuck with companies that would ship directly to me, or used DHL or FedEx as an option...just curious if anyone has used this service before.

I use it all the time. The only issue I've ever run into is when you order something from California.. you will get hit with state sales tax because the ShipitAPO address is in California. But I've been able to call the company I ordered stuff from and told them that I dont live in California, and they refunded the tax.

There is also APObox.com think that one is based out of Iowa, or some middle state.. havnt used that company yet.. but heard its just as good.

That is the one I was looking for...but google gave me shipitapo.

Thanks FD...Not sure if I will use it or not, but just wanted to see if others had used them. I would hate to ship something there, then receive an empty box here saying "SUCKER!" lol!

they are a very good company. I know a lot of people that have used them. Dont even think twice about it. If you find something you need and they only ship FedEx/UPS then use ShipitAPO or APObox.

I heard some guy talking about it at the post office today. Sounds nice, I might have to check it out sometime.

Just to be lazy, and not visit the site...

What are the weight and size restrictions?

I've used them on and off for the last two years, moreso in the beginning. Their service is fine and there is nothing "shady" about it, it's just that they upped their fees once and tend to be another stop in an already long mail process to our overseas boxes.

Of course, if you can't get it any other way, then you should use them, but otherwise, stick with online vendors who have the courtesy to fill out the little green Customs card and treat you like they do any other stateside customer.

Do NOT USE THAT COMPANY!!! I used that company, because as ya'll know... amazon won't send electronic stuff overseas through the mail... So i used sipittoapo.. they so sucked... not only did my stuff come in different boxes... and Shipit sent them in different boxes.. .charging me for everyone of them... eventhough amazon swears that it was sent all in one package. The worst part about it was they said that they sent it to me over here... i waited for about a month and a half... nothing... so I sent them an e-mail and tracked the packages... tracking said that there were still at the address that Shipit gives for their warehouse... not only that, but they sent me a reply the very next day saying that the items were returned.

i had to demand that they send to my father free of charge. They did, because i had the tracking information that was given by fedex... they could provide any proof that they sent the items the first time. I told them that I was going to sue if they didn't refund my money and send the items to my father... I guess that I bitched enough, I got my way... but this was alot of e-mails and having my friend send them an e-mail and phone call acting like my layer...

Please, don't use them... save yourself... run to hills and never use a computer again. That's the only way we can be safe that you don't run iton the same hard times I did.

The size and weight restrictions are still limited to what you would have from the post office 70lbs...not sure on the box sizes though.

...but they will repackage larger items to be able to fit the shipping requirements.

well Ive used them about 20+ times and have never had a late or unshipped package. I've also never had an issue with them splitting my boxes up.. not saying it cant or wont happen.. just going off my experiance.

I'd agree with okimike on this one. Try to avoid these services, as they are an unnecessary added expense, tacked on to the already slow and expensive shipping from online vendors (and to APO addresses in general). If there's something you must have online, and can't ship it here, I'd suggest having it shipped to a friend or family member in the states, and have them ship it to you. I'd trust a friend or family member to not steal, tamper with, or otherwise disturb my stuff before I trust a company who pretty much deals strictly with the military. I've found from experience, a company that exists 'to serve our troops' usually wants to take money from naive servicemembers (and there are a lot of them). And boy are they successful!

I've only used it once. Mostly because the item had free shipping so I didnt mind paying the shipping cost from ShipitAPO to here. I havent had any other reason to use it. I was desperate at the time and was trying to get a halloween costume sent and the place was the only place that had it. It got here all right. It was in another box but the orginal box was inside the new one and it didnt look to be tampered with.
