Did you think he was the right choice? Kinda hard to argue, when you look at his numbers. Hell, just his TD numbers were off the chart!

All of the talk shows today were discussing how he was the first Soph. to win the award, and the likelyhood that he may win 3 years in a row. How do you feel about his winning?

You have to give credit where credit is due. The kid has worked really hard to get to this kind of level

Yea, I agree with Mad Hatter. The numbers were there. You can't argue with them. I was under the impresion that the members normally only tried to vote for senior nominies (sp :() but you can't even try that with the way things went for him. I'm interested to see how he will do in the pro's in 3 years.

I think there is a good chance for him to sweep the next 2 years if he has 2 more seasons like this one. He says he is going to finish up his college time and not drop out just to get to the pro's.
I was watching the award cerimony and they said at age 12 he was able to throw a football 50 yrds while kneeling on one knee!! I can't even throw a ball that far with a running start...maybe kick...if you count the bounces?
He had more rushing TD then most RB's do in a season. How does a QB do that? That's nuts...or brave...either way.
Like I said, if he has 2 more seasons like this one, with no injuries, I don't see much compititon.

I dont agree, yeah his stats are good but if they call his number every time they ar ein the 5 yard line instead there running backs, yea, he will get 100 td's rushing. There is no way he can do this in the NFL. He will be like a Eric Crouch from Nebraska, wins the heisman then is a flunk in the NFL. He might win again next year, b.c his expectations will be so high. Or maybe this will hurt him. They will expect even more #'s and i dont believe he can do it like this year, teams will know his game now. Also, the award should only go for Juniors and Seniors. This is the same thing as the NBA was doing when they were letting high school seniors come straight into the NBA. The Kids going through college for 4 years with all the experience and maturity were getting screwed on getting an education while getting good playing time with better athletes than college. Just like the heisman, give it to someone who is at least a junior with more experience than a sophmore. Sophmores usually are in the 1st season as a starter. Wait until there Junior year at least to see if they just got lucky cause 1st season as a starter no one knows your game. And to prove to the world you can do as good as your 1st year starting 2 years in a row...not only 1 year...Also, the heisman voters shouldnt look on how well the team is doing, yeah they need to do alright, not only b/c #1...example Eric Crouch, Charles Woodson, and Troy Smith...all 3 years should have been different people, but there teams were #1...THEY SHOULD GO OFF OF STATS ALONE AND SCHEDULE STRENGTH....but i am not that special so they wont listen....
