dk, it seems that the font size default that appears in quote boxes are quite small -- not very good for enjoyable reading. Could you increase that so it is the actual size of the main post text? or up the main post text one point and then make the quote box font the size of what the main text fonts are now.

Also, it would probably be much better if the link command would either underline the word or make it a different color so that people would no to click on it.

Look:
I want to talk about frogs (http://japanupdate.com/?id=7494).
Just by looking at that, you wouldn't know it, but I have a link embedded in the word "frogs."

Links should let the reader quickly see them and know that they are there. It would be best if it looked like this:

I want to talk about frogs.
Or another easily readable color of your choice.

Of course someone could just link it and then add two more steps of adding two more html tags, but that gets monotonous. If you could, when you get the time, look into the default setting on what I am talking about here. Just finding these little things during my test running of postings here.

But again, the font size settings are a little small for the main text and quotes. Just one point up could make a very good difference. Here is an example of the quote size appearance:
Now is the time for all men to come to the aid of our country, and despite any antipathy one may feel toward President Bush, they should be willing to sacrifice .....

Thanks.

Wait, I just saw that the link in the "frogs" above does appear in a different color. However, a dark red would be better than a dark blue, which is too close to black.

Ok, hold on... look at what a link looks like in a quote:

I want to talk about President Bush, and according to the news (http://japanupdate.com/?id=7494) yesterday in my hometown newspaper, he is very concerned about frogs....
He keeps talking and talking
and talking and talking
and never stops talking about
all those freaken frogs
on Okinawa.

Can you see the link in a quote?

The link is the word "news" but because of the size of the font, it is not underlined and the blue font that the link is doesn`t really stand out from black at that font size. Also, did you notice that in the quote box the shade of blue gets darker as the quote gets longer toward the bottom. Is there any way you can make it so that it doesn`t get darker, but is a consistant very very very light blue throughout the whole quote box, just enough to set it apart from the main post text?

Of couse, these are all points on aesthetics with color and font size, but I think they will impact on ease and enjoyment of reading.

Nice catch. I'll bump the size up one point for now. I personally like it this size so I don't want to make it too much bigger, but one or two points should be fine.

And I'll probably make links orange or red.

Keep the ideas coming. :)

Fixed. Except it still doesn't show in your quote. I'll keep working on it. But at least links are more obvious now.
