Is the casino sports betting pool thing showing this game as an open event? I looked earlier today, but didn't see it then. I'd place a bet. That game will be a good one to watch; Farve vs. Romo - old guard vs. new guard.

I think DK, DOCP, or Tp needs to add it in there.

How about Vikings at the "New Jersey" Giants tomorrow Sun 11-25 1 pm. Even odds. 1,000 credits say NY Giants will win.

You up for the bet?

You only have 953 credits!!!! Wait...let me do that math?????:rolleyes:

NO BET.

I will bet you 1,000 credits that the 'Boys will win it. Farve will have big numbers...because Dallas' secondary is weak and GB's recievers are big. Farve is playing extremely lucky right now....did you see some of the passes and catches made during the Detroit game? He should have had 3 more INT's!

Romo is a quality QB, and Owens is playing big. Dallas has two good RB's who will help open up the passing game. It will be close, but Dallas to win by 10!

This is the Favre "get the monkeys off my back" year.

Prior to this year, he never won in Kansas City. Check. He never won in Denver. Check.

Next up: He's never won at Texas Stadium. Another monkey about to be gone...

Dallas has not played a team with a secondary like GB all year, including the vaunted Patsies. Al Harris and Charles Woodson are the best bump-and-run cover cornerbacks in the NFL this year, bar none. They are physical and will knock the 'boys receivers around a bit. TO's greatest success this year has been against zone coverage defenses, of which the Packers are not.

Pack 27, Boys 24....Rookie K Mason Crosby wins it as time expires with a clutch field goal.

Peace,

hankypanky
11-26-2007, 05:11 PM
I think it will be a shootout between two throwing mothers. They won't keep to the ground due to the strength of the two offensive receiver teams. If one tries to tire the other on the ground, the returning offensive is going to try to run the score by air. Both teams have to prove something and both are high scoring offenses in the NFC.. Hope AFN shows this game. I live out in town and don't have a dish.

DoctorP
11-26-2007, 11:36 PM
Dallas' secondary is not up to task if this becomes an air it out game. I think both teams will still try to get the running game going. GB has the better defense...but I'm still not sold on their running game.

If Crayton is healthy for Dallas...that will be a big difference maker.

I figure I've lots of time to pick it up when we retire in Texas. heh. Like today, I was telling my husband on the phone about a play they were doing. It went something like this: Ooh! They stopped the guy running with the ball three dashes from the yellow line that isn't really there. My favorite one was when the old guy on the sidelines threw the red hanky on the ground. :D I really only watch football when the Cowboys play, but I also like the 49ers.

Thanks to both of you......:)

GB has a very young team, one of the youngest in the NFL, if not THE youngest.

The season isnt over, but I truly hope that Farve is able to come back from his injury, screw the consecutive games streak, to lead the team into the playoffs.

One thing I will have to say is that in over 30 years of "really" watching football Farve is one of the few players that I have seen that really plays the game like it should be played.

Hell how many of us have "dreamed" of making the big pass in a big game? How many of us have thought about leading their team down the field in the last two minutes of a game, for the winning TD, and then throwing our arms in the air like Farve does after every touchdown.

The guy. whether you like him, the Packers or not, is the epitomy of what I think an NFL player should be......just like a kid putting on pads for the first time and having fun, letting it all hang out, and loving the game.

GB has been lucky, to some may say blessed, to have Brett Farve as their QB. And I for one am glad to have met the man in person and have shaked his hand.......I wont forget that either!

I hoenstly dont know, but one thing that I do know that the Packers are the only major pro sports franchise that is publicly owned and make a profit as well.

It takes somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 years to even apply for season tickets. Season ticket holders will their seats to their kids. I know of people that put their kids on the waiting list for season tickets when they were born........but didnt actually get the chance to actually apply for the tickets until they were in their 30's

Dan Marino (I was lucky to meet him & DS back in Miami)
Add your own if I missed.

What can I say? 17 seasons with the Packers, a SB ring, Favre's up there with the best.

I totally agree that Farve plays the game with a great passion...a passion that I would love to see in more of today's players! He treats it as a game, and he is greatful for everday that he is able to go out there and play. Too many of today's players, and players in the last 15 years, are only in it for the payday!

Aaron Rogers has made great strides in the last two years. He played well today, but fell just short.

That pass interference call was what killed their hopes.
