You don't (to my knowledge) get credits for posts you make in the photoplog section. It's its own separate entity. It's just there as an added cool feature.

Ok, installation complete. Please let me know if you run into any problems or have ideas for additional categories. So far I have only added miscellaneous, people, and nature & scenery. I am more than willing to add more. I can also do parent->children categories such as Japan->Okinawa->Outdoors, but I want to keep this as simple as possible in the beginning.

I want to post some of my pictures but 100kb is too small, doesn't do them justice. I'll wait till I take some new pictures with my new camera!

This will quickly go overboard if I allow it to be more than 100kb. Can you attach it in here or send it to me at itsgorain@gmail.com so I can resize it?

The trick is to optimize the image using a program like photoshop. You can easily have an image wider than 700px that is less than 100kb if you have the right software.

For now, I will be the voluntary photo/image-resizer person!

I don't use photoshop so that's why. I have an image resizing program, but it's very basic. I guess I should go download it and post some pictures. I'll try that now.

If you ever get your hands on a copy of photoshop somehow, "Save for Web" rules. 55% quality will do.

I just uploaded a butt load and I used the new program that came with my camera. It doesn't do too bad of a job.
