This is not meant as a knock on Samy, but I have to say that Weatherly is a lot more interesting to listen to.

I really don't listen all that often, but this past week, I think I heard him 4 or 5 times, and I have to say that he's not that bad!

Keep up the good work Sgt!:thumbup1:

I like Weatherly, too. But I liked Samy, too. I think they both have their different styles and don't see one as any better or worse. One thing cool about Samy was that he came to the forum and was responsive to our comments and chose songs from our request list.

You have to remember, though, Samy was recognized and voted as the best dj in the Pacific command area. Gotta give credit where it is due.

But again, Weatherly is good, too.

Naahhh. I didn't vote. Not sure how many voted. Maybe Samy knows and will tell us.

Either way, few or many, Weatherly didn't get the most votes. But like I said, I think both do a good job.

As I said before it is not a knock on Samy...but I would say Weatherly has a better voice for radio.

That was actually in my first rant I made about AFN. Sammy has the voice of a youth group leader. He sounds like a fun-loving guy, but not so much like a DeeJay. It's nothing personal. It just makes him unique I guess.

You know Doc P, I think you just want to attack me in this thread and have everyone else come out and say the same things. [Edited out--Mod] Weatherly is a good DJ, he's very smart, and also very interesting, but don't use his name to defame me. You start of this thread "Oh, this isn't a knock on Samy." Well, I can see your intentions now, ... [edited out --mod]. It's easy to criticize someone when you have no real identity. So again, ... [edited out -- mod] Then, don't expect me at your funeral. The only sad part about it is that you won't be around to vote next year for Weatherly.

Wow, someone is acting like a child, grow up and clean the sand out of your vagina. Ever hear of constructive criticism? This is the last thing I ever excepted you to come in here and say. I'm extremely disappointed.

Seems like DrP was just telling everyone his opinion. DrP is not one to just go around this board and flame people for no reason, I've never seen him do that. So were not allowed to have our own opinions about any of the AFN djs? After all, your a public figure, you should expect to be criticized by the public you know?

Tone down the language and watch how you speak to moderators.

I only wish I could have seen the original post.

I could also stoop to four letter expletives if you like, I merely said that he sounds better on the air. Not saying that you aren't capable.

All,

After reviewing recent posts, it's clear that many forum contributors have fallen under the nefarious spell of the ass-master supreme, DJ Weatherby.

His nefarious grip on the airwaves has been extended from the digestable (but hardly edible) 2-hour midday show to the hellish 4-hour eternity of the morning show, a twisted beast of military radio that will undoubedtly lead to a spate of one-vehicle accidents as longsuffering listeners attempt to mute out the obstreperous ravings of the supposed "on-air talent".

In the beginning, only our work suffered. Now, our very lives are in danger as his puerile humor, poor music selection, truclent temperament towards callers, and conspicuous, defiant idiocy distract us during our morning commutes.

To even recognize DJ weatherby is abhorrent; his recent diatribes against cultural icons like "soccer" and "country music" should merit immediate removal from any position of responsibility, much less control over radio programming.

I learned the scoundrel was recently promoted; it bodes poorly for the Marine Corps, AFN, and the armed forces as a whole when this drooling eunich manages to ascend the ranks, no doubt through force of guile and quibbling sycophantism.

Furthermore, he's never shown the moxy to address my arguments on this forum. Some people might say, "Zach, maybe he doesn't give a shit about online forums - hey, what the ****, man? Put your goddamn pants back on! We're at work!" But I say **** weatherby, and **** wearing pants at work.

Even the most innocent of contests are marred by his inimical style. "Call to the Farm" was the reason I sprung to attentively listen to the radio at 6:05, 6:30, and 6:50. The periodic echo of synthesized swine, bovine or fowl lifted my spirits to divine heights, and instilled the fortitude to go to work fully clothed...

Now, I'm bathing in a sea of misery, enduring a feral tempest of choleric emotion as my beloved animal noises are flippantly reported at arbitrary times, usually in a lackaidasical fashion of direct succession. He has defied the audience's wishes, and apparently takes delight in scoffing at tradition, morality and decency.

And you would call Weatherby a good DJ. Has AFN so thoroughly numbed our senses through forced repetition of horrid broadcasts that we are unwilling to vilify the most infamous on-air presence in the modern era? It's a sad day to witness these events unfold, let me tell you. I await your response.

And Samy/Sammy/Sammie/Samie/Sami/Sammi, stop sticking up for the eunich - if he somehow attains a testicles transplant perhaps he will make his way to the forum and settle this like a real man - online forum flaming!

It's time for scotch!!!

Fun post Zach.

And everyone, we do have a solution for good music while at work.

1. Go to these forums.
2. Quick Menu -> Radio and TV
3. Choose your desired genre of music
4. Choose a station
5. Enjoy

I just wish I could access this from my car.

This whole "The_zach is just weatherby screwing around" is a scurrilous accusation I'd like to rebut for the last time by saying I'd rather be compared to a steaming heap of dog excrement than mr. weatherby!

BTW, I'm hereby nominating Weatherby as "DJ Most Likely to Induce Vomiting/Nausea in the Pacific".
:barf::barf::barf:

Also, do you hear his voice work in some of the piss-poor spots out there? His sickening oratory manages to pervade the airwaves even when he's off the air...

No further explanation needed!
