I know the pickup point for the satellite gear is a warehouse next to where the kennels used to be. Has your friend been there?
Not military, so don't know what the administrative flow is prior to picking the gear up.
Hope it helps.

only if your military.
I got tired of paying the $25 a month. And having to reaquire the satellite every time there was a damn typhoon. And I do satellite communications for a living.
The esiest thing to do if you can is to have a small TV and the reciever outside with you when your trying to find the satellite. If you have someone inside yelling at you to stop and go back, its just to much hassle. Also, when you do find it, use a perminant marker and put a couple lines on the azimuth and elivation so you can easily put the dish back up. And it would be a good idea to take it down during a typhoon.. my neighbors dish blew off the last typhoon we had and almost hit my car. That would have cost him a pretty penny to fix.

I have a small 12" TV that I use for aquiring the signal. I think I'm gonna buy one of the little 3" portable TV's for xmas...that will make things much easier. It'll come in handy when I'm sitting around waiting for the kids to finish school clubs and stuff too!
