:dhas Anybody Here Read The Last Harry Potter Book...(i Almost Typed Pooter..lol) If So Is It A Good Book? I've Been Thinking About Buying It Because I Want To Know What Happens In The End And I'm Impatient To Wait For The Movie To Come Out. So Let Me Know If Anybody Has Read It.

I read it and loved it as much as the others. It's an excellent end to the series. :thumbup: I had a hard time putting it down.

I haven't read the book, but the author recently revealed that the wizard was gay. From some of the comments made by posters in this forum, they will probably want the book banned in schools. It wouldn't be right for students to understand that normal people may be gay, or in this case, a wizard.

(o.O) uhm... it's a book that takes place (for the most part) in Europe. It's okay to be gay in Europe. After all, they find it acceptable to wear Speedos in public... when you're not an Olympic swimmer. :shudder:

I don't recall there being a gay wizard. There are some wizards that are very effeminate, but I don't recall any wizard actually coming out of the broom closet. ;)

There are some places that have banned the HP series from school grounds and churches, because of the whole wizarding thing. That's old news though. :pishaw:

Anyways, I was never a fan of the harry potter series. I never got why everybody liked it so much. The story wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.

first of all, i'm not going to keep on arguing about this topic. and as far as you TypInG LiKe ThaT it doesn't bother me. I knew lots of people who typed like that and it was annoying but that was there preference. There is nothing wrong using correct capitalization. this is a forum and not an essay or report. so pleaseeeeeeee..P_Chan i don't want to start an argument. let's just drop this topic.

Right....and my personal preference is to type correctly and try to use correct grammar as much as possible. A person comes off as being ignorant and stupid if they don't even attempt to use correct grammar IMHO.

All I can do is laugh, I do agree that using proper grammar is better for everyone to understand. I do agree that it makes you look ignorant and unable to hold a proper conversation via the internet. But again, we are in a time where individuals will use more shorthand due to text messaging. I have no idea what made me click on this topic except that I am currently watching the newest Harry Potter movie again. But in all, I think it's funny since P_Chan mention the text it was now all in lower case including the letter I ... which in physcology it can mean that you have a self esteem problem if you lower case your I when referring to yourself. Hmm, makes you want to have perfect grammar after all huh?

I do agree using proper grammar and punctuation at times but like you said some people use so much shortcuts and abbreviations due to text and chatting on the net. Sometimes I don't even know what certain things mean until I research it or ask someone LOL.

I just got done reading the last harry potter book and the book and ending was really good. Let's just see if the last movie will be as good as the book (hopefully!!). Enjoy your movie!!!
