I am interested in knowing what kind of browser add on's do you have that you have found to be reliable and easy to use.

I will start here with one that I have found to be truly helpful for me.

I like Snippy (http://www.bhelpuri.net/Snippy/) a small program that is great for copying any part of an open window that you want without having to use the print screen function that copies the entire screen.

Snippy only saves the portion of a screen that you decide, and if you copy it to a document it is easily uploadable to this site as well.

Please add your favorite or handy tool, and please include if possible a link to a site that others here can download and use if they so see fit.

If you look at the attachment here you will see an example of what snippy can do. I pasted the following image to a Microsoft Photo Editor document and then uploaded it here.

Easy to use, a very small program only 84kb.

It worked fine, it downloads with a small icon that you can keep somewhere, as usual,it looks like this.

Greasemonkey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greasemonkey) is pretty handy. It's basically a JavaScript-based web page post-processor. Even if you don't know JavaScript, there are numerous third-party scripts (http://userscripts.org/) for popular sites out there.

Doesnt Vista have it's own snipping tool included with it?

Hey Muku,

I love Snag-It. It works with ie, as well as firefox. It costs about $40.00, and integrates well with Powerpoint, Word, and a lot of other applications.

A 30 day free trial is available from their website, fully functional. Type "snagit" into your google searchbar, click on the link, it's yours.

Much better than any other screen capture program that I've ever tried.

Thanks....I will check it out too:thumbup1:

I am hoping that maybe besides programs like this one if anyone has any decent tools free or otherwise that they have found particularly useful.

Do you have any others?:)

My favorite add ons, and they are both for firefox are footyfox and tab catalog.
FootyFox displays up to date scores of any soccer game going on as well as recent ones.

Tab Catalog is a little program that when you scroll over it, it shows all of your tabs little boxes as well as the amount of the page that is loaded. Easy way to find the tab you are looking for.

I used to have the Stumble Upon option on firefox (until I reloaded Windows). It was pretty nice as it will help you find webpages that are similar to your liking. It definitely introduced me to many pages I would have never found by myself.

Try Picasa2. It's a great picture organizer. It also allows you to enhance pictures.

I use Translator quite a bit.

I can go to any Japanese language website, right click and voila, the page gets translated to English. Characters in CGI are not translated but all text is. The best part is you click on a link on the translated page and it automatically translates the new page.

Weakness: Translations are sometimes literal and come across as "engrish", but at least you can see the substance.

Also can translate several other languages including Chinese.

Google Toolbar for Firefox is a must.

This coming from the guy who's trolling the forum. Most likely because he just wants to play the arcade games. Go to yahoo games or something and stop coming in here and annoying people.
