Ive got my license but i havnt been in a while. I did go while i was in Australia. I think Okinawa is better than the place i went, but i cant say better than AU as a whole. I really wanna get into going again but ive got an uncooperative wife and alot of sand with no beach in my near future.

I would love to go, and I will, but not quite yet. My thumb is still messed up and it would be far to painful trying to put anything on, or worse, if something happened in the water.

Im definately up for it, even though I havent been diving in over three years, I want to get my feet wet again and get back into it. If you guys dont mind a near noob tagging along sometime, that would be great.

have you tried getting her to get certified? or she doesn't like the water. i know some wives don't and refuse to step into the water. i'll let you know when the next time we are going and just let me know if you can make it.

Just have had too many things come up. I'm sure if I sat down and said, "We are doing this and this is what we are going to budget for" with the wife we sould do it, but I just haven't gotten around to that point. There are always other things that we need or want. Plus, she doesn't want to do it so I would be going to the class alone. :(

i would say the hard part about being certified and not the spouse is finding people to dive with. let alone sitting in the class without a partner too. its so much easier when you have a buddy. maybe one day you'll become certified:thumbup:

I definately plan to do it before I leave the island. I might have found someone who will do it with me. We were kinda talking about it the other day do I just might be in luck.

Diving and diving certification are very accessible here on Okinawa. Hi, I'm Michael and I'm a technical diver with Global Underwater Explorers. I'm happy to join anyone who needs a dive buddy.
