Habu
Habu is poisonous snake.
My uncle captured "hub".
It is the baby snake.
However, it is a baby, but I has poison.

Habu becomes active in May from July and September from NovemberSeptember.

My uncle uses the big water tank for a field.
water did not flow, my uncle opened the cover.
There was the beby habu in the inside of the cover.

He was not bitten by a habu. He is lucky:)

Habu's are fake!!!! I have yet to see one in the wild (okinawa world and haub mongoose shows don't count). I've always traveld off the beaten path once exploring the island but I've never ran into a habu. I must be lucky:D but I do want to see one.

I've had two in my back yard...in 6 years of living here. I've also seen two while walking my dog. They are not fake, but just like most snakes, they stay away from people for the most part, staying away from beaten paths and whatnot.

I actually saw one outside the clinic on Kadena. It was sunning itself on the side walk near the parking garage. It took off under a fire extinguisher when it saw me coming.

Yeah I know they're not fake. I just hear so much about them and see so many signs to watch out for them, yet I never seem them. Kinda disappointed I guess.

Years ago when I first got here, long before the ban on Habu/Mongoose fights, you could sell the big ones for good money. I remember taking the 5+ footers up to Ryuku Mura and getting around 10,000 yen for them..! I have even sold big Akamatas for 6-8,000 yen.
