Ya immunizations closes at 4pm. Second I hope you got everything handled. Did you? I am so glad my wife is the LPO of pediatrics cause she knows everything about all that crap you just went through.
Now last if you knew you had to pay for this why would you waste money on a massage or take your children to play were you have to waste money? There are many good parks around.:old::)

sorry I thought you were paying for massages. I like to go to get massages their too but the thing seems low when I use it. My wife says the reason that most of the clinics are bad is cause they're under staffed. I think peds is pretty good you just have to be patient and come prepared. But I have to say some parents are just stupid and want stuff there kids dont need.

You know you are the second person recently I have heard from over there that are being "pushed" to enroll their kid in EFMP. But it isn't only that you need to enroll in EFMP, but they say you HAVE to put them into the DODDS system and you HAVE to jump through their hoops and you HAVE to do this & that.
Wonder if there is some kickback they get for each EFMP enrollee ??
I remember there being a time where you had to go through a huge ordeal to be eligible to apply and prove your need for EFMP. Interesting how times change.

I went there, and it was more of a set up. The doctors at Peds. told them I was refusing medical care for my 11yr old. I was like what medical care? Of course I had my 2 little one's with me. My 2yr who is now 3yrs old, I couldn't get her to sit still. This Capt. Zaler guy kept telling me she needs to go to terrible 2 classes there. I was like NO, she doesn't understand, she can't hear. He went off on this big lecture that he knows she can understand. I just wanted to get the HELL out of there.
Then he brings up that people are worried about me, that I am suicidal and lot of BS. I asked him where in the hell does he get his info, cuz I don't talk to anyone that is military, all my friends are Japanese, and I am way too happy to be suicidal. Next thing I know they put me on the EFMP along with my oldest daughter. I didn't sign anything that was for EFMP.
Wow. That is some crazy stuff. I can't beleive he tried to tell you that you need to put your kid in a terrible 2 class.
As far as your imms for your kid, I don't see why they didn't just copy the yellow card (which is what they are suppose to hand write all imms given so that you have a hard copy and not just the computer system) and give you the copies? I know most people (corpsmen-wise) don't know how to print out imms records via the imms reporting system that we use unless they either worked in records or imms so that could have been part of the problem, but to say that there is no way they can do anything seems just..well..lazy? Unless they have recently stopped using the yellow card, which I'm quite sure they will never get away from thankfully, they should have been able to just go in there and give you a copy. Seems odd in my opinion.
I would write a complaint about your visits. A lot of the higher ups don't know about the things that happen at that clinic unless someone complains and then once the complaint gets to them everyone knows about the problems and it gets fixed fast! I only know this cause my one of my work e-mails is on the hospital mailing list so we find about that kinda stuff all the time. I remember someone complained that you couldn't get same day care and the next week you better believe that changed! What good is a service if it doesn't cater to you? It's no longer a service, more so a burden.
I complain all the time!!! I write 13 page complaint letters, in full detail!!
From everything you have written here on this thread and on other posts here as well why am I not surprised to hear this.
Do you actually wonder why people give you the run around?

Anyone telling you that you HAVE to do certain things to your kids is BS (unless it is something that will prevent them from being hurt worse, die, etc...obviously you need to do those things). For someone to tell you to enroll your child in a certain class is wrong, and all you needed to do was ask to talk to that persons Department Head. If they are the department head, ask to talk to the CO.
With that said, you also need to understand that if your child has some kind of medical issue that requires special care, then yes, you need to enroll them in EFMP...if you dont, well...dont bitch when your refused care. Another thing is when the hospital needs to have papers signed, it is not your husbands responsibility alone to do it. If you are there, you need to do it, and again, if you dont want to sign those papers, dont bitch if your refused care.

Also to add that from my point of view she has one other option here on island available to her......take her children to an off base hospital and pay for the care herself if she is not satisfied with what the base hospital has to offer.

Coldnoodles I feel for you and regret to tell you there is no Capt Zaler in peds or has there been in the last 2 yrs let alone a Capt in that clinic. So if someone told you to put your cild in those classes is there a possibility they were joking with you?

Good point and from what my wife tells me those parents are on the end of the important list. These parents come in twice a week and doctors start to suspect Munchhowsin sydrome. Probably spelled it wrong. There has been cases of that in the hospital this year.

Kids may point out differences, but it is not always true about color differences. Its all in how you raise your kids. With ignorant statements like white people, black people, asian people or whatever, kids learn bad habits. Its a shame some people still have to make ignorant statements that point out color. Color has no bearing whatsoever on a persons personality unless they themselves live their lives revolved around their own color.

And I'll also have to agree with Hollarey when they said if you consider him your meal ticket you are a dependent. And so far from what I've read on this forum, you really haven't done anything but complain about things. I'm sorry coldnoodle but it really does seem that you are exactly what you say you aren't.
Yea, it's a shame that they didn't catch the infections when they could have. But if you think about the number of kids these people see on an average basis and how many similar sign and symptoms other kids have and end up with nothing, you just might have that 1 in a million child that gets sick.
I think that the Rants and Raves forum might just get a name change to ColdNoodles Rants and Raves :old::rolleyes:

Not knowing for sure all the circumstances or pressures noodles is under and only "knowing" her from what she has written here on this board I would like to make a few comments in regards to some of the posts she made here today.
I for one am under the impression that she is under a great amount of stress and pressure about the health of her children. As a parent I can appreciate the pressure that one feels when your child is sick and needs medical attention. Whether or not the ailments are real or not, at least to her, from reading what has been written here and on other threads, she believes it to be true. I wish her children well.
I also tend to give the benefit of the doubt to people posting here that are not native English speakers, particularly since even though I am one, I am far from perfect in putting my thoughts and feelings into words.
Having said that I do not condone nor want to come across as agreeing with some of the things she wrote here. That was wrong imo and racist as well. Yet I temper that with knowing that at least coming from her anyway her child just had some type of surgery today, and after going through what she did over the course of the past few days regarding child care, her husbands unit and other things she snapped in her response. I am not sitting here and defending her actions, just wanting people to stop and think a bit about what or how she is thinking and feeling.
I notice that she also comes and goes in spurts here, helpful at times with information but also very negative at others. We all are the same I think. Some of the people that post in reply to her also come across as being very familiar with her, and I would like to ask them, are things that bad with her situation? Is there so much around her, in her house, in her environment that is so bad.
If I had three children that are as sickly as she makes her three out to be I think I would be grateful and not so arrogant for any assistance that anyone could provide. Pride should in my opinion never get in the way when it comes to the issue of a childs health.
On a good day I would like to believe that Coldnoodles is a decent person, but has a difficult time accepting people that critisize or disagee with what she writes, and she goes to great lengths to justify her statements and when that does work resorts to one-liners to vent her frustration.
I wish her well, and in all sincerity would hope that she take a look at what everyone has written in response to her here and then stop and take a good long look in the mirror and realize where many of the roots of her rants are coming from.
Then I hope she takes a deep breath, tries to relax and think about ways to positively improve the situation she is in, and learn to realize that she holds the controls to her own destiny and survival and that of her children as well.
Noodles quit blaming others for your situation when it seems to me at least that you havent done enough to improve what you can control first. Dont be so willing to bitch and complain without first hearing people out. Swearing at people is a sure fire way to lose any potential help that people may have wanted to give you. Whether it be my job to help you or not.
Being nice to people goes a long way. Learning when to bitch and complain and who to bitch and complain to makes a difference as well.

I don't know, seems like she's running away to me. Just got too far in over her head with her pig headed comment and she has nothing to back it up with but her own ignorance. Sorry if this sounds kind of harsh, but it's the way I see it.
I understand some people have stress in their lives. But that doesn't give them justification to go blaming everyone else, let alone blaming one entire race, for your problems. That was very ignorant of her and I don't think I can take anything she says serious from now on.
It's sad that racism still exists in our world today. It's also not a good example to be setting for your children.
She will probably ignore me now, but I am still waiting for replies to my questions. By running away she is taking the cowards way out of this predicament.

my mom has never stayed in the barracks, she has friends in the barracks. And she has NEVER DUMPED me off. She takes me and my little sisters everywhere. She doesn't ask anyone for help. She doesn't want to bother anyone. We have a pack - everywhere she goes we go, no one left behind.
People are always spreading lies about my family, you need to get to know us before you judge us. Why believe what you hear from others? (I heard of you from .....).
Today my sister had surgery, after surgery, she didn't want anyone to help her get my little sister. She carried my knocked out sister and picked up my little sister, carrying them both into the car. Carried the one who had surgery in the commissary to buy foods for her. Someone told her if she needs anything just call, mom will never call for help.

It's great that you want to defend her, but I really dont think you should be stepping into the middle of a discussion that you really dont know about.
