Just got word Rocktoberfest is cancelled due to weather. :cursing:

What the crap???!!! Yeah, it looks like a typhoon out there but that doesnt neccessarily mean it is going to do anything here. Now if they know for sure it is going to hit us directly I can understand. It probably will be pushed back till next week anyways unless it gains speed. OH well, did they at least give out a new date for it?

No rain date given. Not sure what they will do. This is all I got from MWR.

"Due to the approaching typhoon and the inclement weather predicted for the
weekend, the Rocktoberfest scheduled for Sunday, 7 October on Torii Beach is
cancelled."

IF you hear or see anything new about it, let us know. I had plans this Sunday but since it may be rescheduled I may get to go.

So I've been checking the weather and it looks like the storm is going to miss us by quite a bit. Maybe a little rain/ cloud cover. So could the show still be back on?

It's already been called of so my guess would be no. Shame, I was really looking forward to it. Maybe they will schedule it for the following week or something?

cant wait till all of those ****s go out there and the shits cancelled.

I work at Tori and get email from the Army MWR and as of the last two messages I saw, it's not happening. No mentions of reschedule. I wonder if the word has been getting out to the local population?

Well, I really hope they reschedule. I was wanting to go to begin with but have something else going on sunday night. So if they do reschedule, I get to go. Crosses fingers!!

If I didnt get on this forum, or ZY, I wouldnt know that it wasnt happening. In fact, I would think its still going on and have no reason to think other wise...
