Many of our users, for whatever reasons do not take the time to fill out their profile.

I realize that some people are trying to maintain a certain level of anonymity, but c'mon...take the time to put in where you live, your hobbies, age, occupation, likes, dislikes, favorite sexual position...whatever you feel like posting. Just a little something to help others get to know you a little better!

Personally, I think location, gender and age are the most important parts of the profile when posting in a public forum like this. If you're a 19 year old male living in Nova Scotia (for random example) posting about forty-something females on Okinawa with serious medical problems would bother me. You'd have no idea what you're talking about, aside from maybe your relative having a similar issue.

I consider age, gender and location when reading thread posts that have a specific topic. I wouldn't consider myself a legitimate opinion on the kind of carburator for a Skyline GT-R needs for exceptional performance during racing on Okinawa, because although I live on Okinawa, I've no interest in cars like that. I also am open about what I know and don't know to the best of my knowledge.

I understand the need for privacy, especially for women and previously stalked folks. I also notice that people hide behind that anonymity to be abusive and aggressively disruptive. I'm not saying it's happened here, but I am saying that it happens. I don't begrudge those people the freedom to post within the rules of the forum though. I simply see them with less credibility than the others.

Yeah, That sounds appropriate enough. The internet is faceless vast, information highway filled with perverts. You have to watch your back.
and not only that but criminals/hackers who try to use your information in such a way that it's destructive. for instance passwords and such. I wouldn't do that to my worst enemy. But some people are scammers scheming on innocent people who don't know any better. It'd be nice to say whatever you feel but reality of it is, you can't. Because of these idiots.

I try to be as secretive as possible on the internet. I have read many horror stories of people trackiing people down from tid bits of info. Sorry.
