So did anybody else pick up halo 3? I've been playing it the past couple days and I'm starting to enjoy it.

yeah I'm fairly laid back too. I relaly like the new match making because you don't lose your rank once you get it. You either gain experience, or don't gain it, you never lose it. Well you can lose it, but only if you quit a matchmaking game before it's finished. The guys I normally play with, are really good.

A buddy and I are going to try to start an Okinawa Halo 3 "clan" or whatever soon. That way we can get more of us on island playing so we don't have to mess with whiney 12 yr olds that only play shotty snipe on level's they like or else they veto every map. I got all the skulls last night. I've got the full hayabusa set. The helmet is different, and I'm not a big fan of it. It just looks goofy and I think it looks more like the shredder then ryu hayabusa.

I'm not sure, I'll have to look, probably around 40%. I know I got my first sniping spree last night:D It was funny, I found a good sniping spot on last resort. It gives you a clear view of a commonly used sniping spot, and the other guy's view of you is obstructed. I must have picked off the same guy 5 or 6 times, he just didn't learn!

I'm not too worried about getting the sword. I'm not a big fan of the hayabusa armor so I don't really care if I get the sword or not.

yea, I was looking at some of the images online of all the armor and it..well...it's ok. It's nice cause you have it and not everyone can or is willing to put in the time to get it all, but yea...that's about it.

That is pretty sad, unfortunately it happens to much. My brother is the epitomy of this...he literally lost his wife, kid, and is pretty much a loser now because he wanted to play games vice spending time with his family.

I dont have Halo3 yet, still waiting for it to get here, but eventually I will and I will try and jump on there with youll. I suck big time because i usually hate FPSs and I am just not good at them, but hey, i can try and drive or something...lol.

I've done campaign multiplayer. It's not too bad, if you want to we can game sometime. The best thing to do is to beat the campaign first and just play some casual games. That way you get used to everything.

I beat the campaign friday evening (pretty short). Was on normal, so maybe if I did it again a bit harder, might be a challenge:) I tried doing some online stuff, could only figure out how to do the bootcamp thing. I realized I really suck! I did get into one match game, and I was rank 1, two guys were 2 and one was 4. They kept saying, "Ahh, we got a recruit, were going to lose" so I said **** it and left. I know I suck, I dont need to have people giving me shit about it, lol, game is supposed to be fun.

I would love to go with you guys sometime, just let me know when. I now have a router and my connection is ALOT faster, dont know why that is, but it helped immensly.

Rank means nothing really, just shows how many games you've played. It's skill level that really shows how good that person is. But, that still isn't a true measure of skill either. If someone doesn't play very many ranked games then their skill might be pretty low. But that doesn't mean they are not a good player. I had some guys say the same thing once I was a level 1 and I played with them. Then I proceeded to mop the floor with them, I won with 25 kills and the next closest guy only got 8.

Don't let the little kids who talk crap frustrate you. Otherwise, you'll never have any fun on mulitplayer. I know I tend to be online on the weekends and right after work the most. But I wasn't on this weekend, I was busy, and I'm busy tonight so I probably won't be on until tomorrow.

Yea, I've been busy too with this and that. Plus the boss got C&C3 for the 360 and has been playing that. I should be on later today though. I'll look for you. We can do some campeign and get skulls or even just muck about. Also, don't worry about sucking, we all sucked at one point or another. If people keep hanging crap on you, mute them and give them a bad report and you won't have to worry about running into them anymore :) I try not to give bad rep, but some people just deserve it.

Just keep playing games with us ATB and you'll get good. If you only play with good players, then you will eventually get better at it. But that's not always the case I guess. There is this guy I play with called "fluffykins" who is amazing and I've never seen anyone as good with a sniper rifle as he is.

We used to play this custom game called WWIII. It was first team to 100 kills and there was 16 players, and there were two teams, and no shields or motion sensor. Usually the teams consisted of me, and fluffy vs everyone else. We would basically find a nice spot to hold and let everyone come to us. It was so much fun to beat people and win with scores like 100 to 12.

Yeah, once my connection is better, im going to get into it a bit more. Ive never been into FPSs, but some of that had to do with me thinking...wtf is the point, you shoot people and respawn to shoot more....

But seems they can be pretty fun, and being able to have help doing a campaign is very cool to me.

Yea I remember the being married part to and just getting around to having the ceremony. Well, definitely make sure to live it up on the 3rd then. Remember, no drinking before and drink moderately during :p I've seen a lot of wedding where the groom and/or bride got trashed either before or durning the ceremony and it was really embarrassing for them once they looked back on it.

Just go into a ranked or social rumble pit match and it will be every man for them self. But, you can still go into team battles by yourself, you just won't know anyone on the team that matchmaking places you on.

You still get exp if your on the winning team. But if your on the winning team in a ranked match and you get last in your team, you probably won't get a skill point. I played a ranked game the other day and I was first on my team, and our team won, I was also the MVP. I jumped up 2 skill levels from 11 to 13. Now, I've been last on my team before and haven't gone up any skill levels.

I do want to get on tonight and get my skill leve up. I need to get it to 20 already so I can rank up to captain!

I had problems with my router too, but I just hooked it up different and it worked. How do you have yours hooked up? My internet provider, provided me with one of their hard line routers. I just hooked another wireless router to that one and it worked. Mine is hooked up like this:

Internet comes from the modem and goes to WAN port on hard line router.
From port 1 on hard line router, goes to WAN port on belkin wireless router.
From port 1 on belkin wireless router, goes to my laptop.

Try it like that, it might work. I also have my fiber phone adapter hooked up to port 2 on the hard line router. The fiber internet comes from my light detector and goes to the hard line routers WAN port.

So how is yours hooked up? Did they supply a hard line router with your modem? Or just a modem? If they provided a hard line router and you have a wireless router you wish you use, then hook it up like I have mine hooked up, it might work.

I dont use a wireless router for a few reasons...cost of the router, and Im not paying $100 for a wireless adaptor for the 360. I have mine set up now with Konnect like this:

line to the modem, modem to the Vonage modem (vonage requires this), Vonage to the router, router out to cpu and 360.
