View Full Version : Lookin for a place to find cool wood for table

I'm building a table for my home. i found a glass shop already and now i wanna find a place that has unique wood to use. Any help or ideas are appreciated.

There is a small shop in Ishikawa that has those half logs that people make coffee tables and benches out of...if you are looking for that type of stuff.

If you are looking for something other than a square or rectangle there used to be a wood mill on the sea side of 329 on the North end of Yaka between Ishikawa and Camp Hansen. You could get some awesome cuts there. I'm pretty sure they are still in business.

If you are looking for simple square or rectangle the I know that the Makeman up the hill from Jusco in Awase has a selection.

Pull out of Shields and make a left.
Stay on that road until you hit 329.
Turn left.
Stay on that road. Eventually you will go through a short tunnel and down a long straight away into Ishikawa.
Keep going on that road through Ishikawa. You will pass the Ishikawa Police station on your left and a San Ei and home center on your right.
After a few hundred meters 329 will turn into a single lane.
About 1 km or so later you will see a family mart on the left.
After the next traffic signal start looking to your right and you will see a small boat basin on the right. The saw mill is in front of the boat basin slightly to the left.

(If you start going up a small hill and see a school on the right you went too far.)
